Shane is on the spectrum and is EXTREMELY repressed. He’s super rigid in his routine and anything outside of that makes him very uncomfy. You’ll see that he tends to to miss certain social cues as well. Shane also has to deal with being an Asian man who is Seen as a role model on top of having a mother in a managerial role who stress image and brand deals. Ilya seems to know who he is more but the pressure of his country and family on top of also being a top player in the hockey league along with Shane rlly causes him to be emotionally unavailable like Shane. Though the sex scenes are explicit they show you where they are at in the relationship! Love your watching the show though
