Bee Sweaters

Y'all wanted more bees so have something seasonal

Based on the fun fact that, unlike many insects, honeybees don't actually hibernate (or y'know, die) when the cold hits, but instead remain active all winter long.

They're able to do this because they huddle together in a big ball and use the honey they've been working so hard to stock up on for the energy needed to vibrate their flight muscles and generate heat. With thousands of workers doing this there are enough of them for the centre of the ball to get to around 90°F/30°C, where they'll all take their turn when they get too cold on the outer edges.

Incidentally, because of the freezing temperatures and lack of flowers to forage on for energy during this time, the whole winter situation is why they even make honey in the first place!
