RE: Art Block :)

On the subject of the text in that last post I figure I should address the proverbially apt monkey on my back that has been plaguing me for a while

I've been trying to get over art block for months now! If you've been noticing any decline in quality or quantity of my output (I know I have!), that would be the fun reason why. Apologies to those of you who have been waiting for comms to open again too, it's also the reason for them being closed for so long

I don't intend to bitch about it too much, and this isn't intended to be a post for me to sit and feel sorry for myself so much as me wanting to take the opportunity to thank you guys for your continued support! I tend to be hesitant when it comes to making personal posts like this because I'd rather just stick to putting out content and keeping things simple, but I feel like you guys deserve the heads up and an honest thank you for sticking around! Your support isn't taken for granted, and I greatly appreciate you all! Yes, this means you!

This isn't an announcement that I'm intending to stop or anything either. Ruts like this hit everyone at some point, it's not the first time and it won't be the last for me, but I know that it'll pass eventually. I'll just continue trying to work through it and I'll hopefully be back up to regular output soon!

Until then, the grind continues 💪

I've heard good things about Sanderson, I'll have to check it out!

If you like fantasy I would recommend “the way of Kings” by Brandon Sanderson. It’s high fantasy but not dwarfs and elf kind of fantasy, but a world of its own with a lot of thought put into it. Also it has a race of bug people that you might like.

I'm usually listening to music while I work but I might have to give audiobooks a try!

SlightySimian

Much appreciated, I'm glad you think so!

SlightySimian

It’s all good man, inspiration hits at odd times, have you tried listening to audiobooks? They surprisingly help me come up with ideas and inspiration for what to do in my dnd games. They might help you also

CHam

A bit less quantity, but not at all any loss of quality! Your quality's always absolute tops.

I appreciate it! And it's all good, I'm conscious of pacing myself

I hate art block and it's a bugger to shift, but I hope I speak for all of us when I say I hope you dig your way out soon, but don't get burnout trying.
