Charge Upfront now activated

Hi all, just a quick message regarding a small change to how payments will work. I have just activated the "Charge Upfront" option which means that any *new* patrons from now on will pay their selected pledge on the day of joining, followed by the usual payment on the 1st of the following month.

Obviously, that won't actually have any effect on you guys since you're *already* Patrons - everything will continue as normal, with the next payment and all future payments being taken on the 1st of every month as usual, so you shouldn't even notice any difference.

However, the part that everyone should be aware of is that this change does mean that if you increase your pledge you will be charged the difference right there and then. For example, if you paid $7 at the start of the month and then a few days later you decide to bump up from $7 to $10, you will be charged $3 when you make that decision since you are immediately being given access to the $10 content.

The reason for this change is that I have noticed a troubling amount of people taking advantage of an exploit in the default Patreon settings which allowed them to join up and immediately access the Patron feed during the month, only to leave or reduce their pledge right before the 1st to avoid being charged - and then rejoin or increase again (for free) shortly into the following month. As far as I can tell, this process is infinitely repeatable. Hopefully, Charge Upfront should prevent that.
