Rather than it being that Tharja dressed up for Winter's Envoy and acted uncharacteristically peppy, it turns out Tharja just took a vacation and let some part-timer play her role! But she wasn't expecting everyone to love the stand-in as much as they did... "Hey! Don't think you can hold a candle to the real me!"
Also attached the sketch since I thought it was quite nice. There's always a little bit of raw energy that gets lost when a picture gets inked.
