Sylvia & Ana (the antagonists of Escapades Issue 3) weren't the "nighttime visitors dressed in red and white" that Wossy and Aeria were expecting when they went to bed on Christmas Eve. Nor were they expecting to end up being wrapped up in blankets and tape, likely to spend the rest of the night in the back of a van!
I don't actually know if I'll finish this one. I'd intended to go with a "S&A interrupt W&A's Xmas" theme for this year's piece, maybe throw in a "Syl&Ana don't care what your dumb 'has Aer been good?' poll says! They've got a score to settle!" joke.
...But truth be told it's been a bit of a rough month. I won't go too much into the details, but I got a triple whammy of the taxman wanting a lot more money than I'd expected ("payment on account" means they want half of next year's bill alongside this year's, so there goes all the savings I'd made all this year), my landlord/letting agency causing stress (kept sending me letters saying I hadn't paid the rent on time when I had, and set up an inspection on short notice because the landlord had apparently complained about something, despite the agents who actually conduct the visits having always told me to my face that everything was fine??), and it's looking like I'm not gonna be able to catch up with family for another couple of weeks, so it's gonna be a quiet Xmas for me.
With all that in mind, I felt a little guilty about ruining W&A's holiday - it'd be much more positive to give them a nice time and try to live vicariously through them, right? Sooo, yeah; dunno if this sketch will be finished or if it's better to just make do with the other stuff I made, which you'll see in juuuust a moment after this post!
