The other day I was fortunate enough to catch the esteemed ElijahPink livestreaming. He was working on a suuuuper cute picture of what one of his characters would look like as a Nendoroid figure - he even went so far as to make multiple gag attachments! Hopefully we'll get to see it posted soon, but you never know with that guy! ;)
Anyway, it was very inspiring, so here's Aeria as a Figma. I used my one-and-only IRL figma of Motoko from GITS:SAC for help with some of the fiddly mechanics, stuff like how you can take off her bangs to swap out faceplates, and tried to apply that to Aer.
Also, during Elijah's stream it was noted that these figures aren't really viable for bondage - arms behind back style, at least - as the arms would just pop out at the shoulder balljoints if you tried to bend them too far back, so his solution was to have the entire chestpiece get swapped out for some pre-moulded/non-articulated arms at the back. It sounds viable enough, so I went for a similar approach here.
This one was a pretty inefficient 'build' - I didn't start out with the modularity in mind so later down the line I was tripping up over myself with layer orders and stuff... but it was a very fun experiment, so I'd quite like to revisit the concept soon with a nice V2. A better base model that lends itself to easy hotswapping of more parts, allowing for all of Aer's existing outfits, and various forms of bondage.
Actually making 3D models of W&A and then getting them 3D printed is definitely on my bucket list. Someday, someday! ;)
Edit: Oops, looks like a bit of colour bleed on the SJ one's thigh. I'll fix that and reupload in a bit!
