December 2024 Fanart Vote - Results

Surprise!

Well, not a surprise to the InsidAers and InvestAers at this point, but still a surprise for the VoyAers... we just finished an impromptu fanart vote!

To paste my brief explanation again: "the Fanart Votes came to an end a few years ago since I got pretty burnt out on them, but these days I've been struggling to find new characters to draw that aren't just my old 90s/00s childhood crushes. So why not let you guys decide? :D I won't commit to doing these monthly or anything - it's not currently one of the promised perks of pledging, this is just a "hey, why not?" round. We'll see how it goes!"

So, here's the results. You'll notice the double bars for all, and handwritten scores for some - this is the combination of here, and over on my other support page. Thankfully, we didn't have an upset where 1st place on one site got dethroned by the total from both, as that'd have been a bit awkward. It did make the difference between Steph and Karlach, but, eh - they're both so close that I'm gonna let them share 3rd place anyway!

Zatanna will get a coloured and polished pic. As for the rest of the winning podium, I don't want to make lofty promises this time, so I won't commit to what's in store for them - could be colour, could just be sketches. Could be gag busts, could be bunnybase heads (though Steph already has a bunbase head, so, hm). We'll see when I get to them!

Here are the ideas that were suggested for the winners. I had attached an Xmas theme to the vote, so we have some festive scenarios here - but if you can think of anything else that'd fit nicely for these girls, please share in the comments!:

Batgirl (Stephanie Brown) (DC Comics)
"It could be fun to have someone like Ivy or Harley getting her wrapped up and suspended in as a kinky holiday decoration in Gotham, or on a heist-interruption gone wrong. With plenty of pluck and sass, she could easily find herself in a situation that's playfully willing (with the right people) or where she's a wriggly, defiant Batgirl trying to work her way out of whatever's binding her (which better be secure to keep her)!"

Karlach (Baldur's Gate 3)
"She's a toughie, so overkill on the bondage, and probably something heat resistant or fire retardant like magic tape or liquid latex. She and Shadowheart often flirt too, so she could be done as a gift for her."

Darkness (Konosuba)
"She does have a winter outfit, but it's a little bulky & not really christmasy, so I'll say instead, having her be properly mummified in giftwrapping &/or stuffed into a giftbox. Scenario could be an infiltration mission she obviously volunteered for or something, really anything goes with her!^^"

Zatanna (DC Animated)
"Zatanna was planning on performing for a Christmas party but she didn’t realize the host would be Harley Quinn. Now she’s looks like a Jack in the box forced to standing inside an open present 🎁 while she is bound and gagged with oversized red ribbons (reference to how Lois Lane was tied up in Batman/Superman movie). Looks like the party’s just getting started."

Oh, also, the pictures will be drawn at my own pace, but it'd be unfair to tease them here to anyone who might not be pledged later down the line, so I will put the finished pictures in December's dropboxes regardless of actual completion date.
