The Sub

It was the 20th anniversary of The Matrix recently, and to celebrate it my local cinema did a one-night screening. I already have the movie on home video and have watched it countless times, but I was only a lil' 8 year old Wossa when it was first released so never got to see it on the big screen... so you bet your ass I bought a ticket! And god, it's aged so well! Friggin' perfect movie. I went home full of motivation and busted out a bunch of little parody pictures.

Wossy plays both Trinity and Morpheus in this adaptation, and she believes that Aeria is "The Sub" from the prophecies!

Plus a couple of bonus doodles:

W&A storming the lobby to rescue... um... wait, if Wossy is both Trinity and Morpheus, then this doesn't make any... um... nevermind!

...And the aftermath! Just use your imagination to see all those squirming security guards wrapped up in rope, tape, chains, harnesses and all other manner of fun things. ;)

Anyway, there's one final pic which you'll see in the next post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/28480659

Hahah, this is so fun!

Especially if the movies they spoof involve DiD scenarios, so Wossy can put her own unique spin on them. So many to choose from, too: the tapegag scene from the first Charlie's Angels film, for example.

A new version of The Matrix, but with bondage instead of bullets flying and blood getting spilled? Sounds like an awesome alternative cut indeed! Dang, twenty years already...glad you enjoyed this bullet-time blast from the past, it's awesome to see how you took inspiration by combining that film with your own characters; I didn't know bondage materials could look so badass, but that "Aeria longcoat" sketch has me convinced. Also, the fact that you overlaid your black-and-white sketches of Wossy and Aeria (complete with sunglasses!) on a still shot from the movie...the coolness has only intensified.

I'd honestly rather watch your version. I was surrounded by people who thought The Matrix was THE movie for far too long. As someone who had already picked clean that train of thought before anyone around me even thought of using computers to do more than play games or make spreadsheets, I wasn't overly impressed with people's attempts to convince me how amazing it was on a mental level. Good movie for an action flick, though.

That is amazing! I vote for even more Wossy and Aeria movie spoofs!

Now I know I'm older than lil' wossa.
