Practical Effects

Alrighty, finished https://www.patreon.com/posts/principal-28480659 !

Went all-in on the movie colour grading, and tweaked the ending dialogue slightly. Also wasn't 100% sure if I liked a horizontal or vertical layout so both versions are included.

Tomorrow I'll whip up a PSD of the MummyAers from panels 4 and 5  (I mean, 6 too if you want it but she's barely visible in the corner there :p ) so that $7+ers can play with the tape colours.

Fun movie trivia fact!
"Alt-Universe-Movie-Star-Aeria"'s contract states in BIG, BOLD, CAPITAL LETTERS:

ANY SCENES DEPICTING MY CHARACTER IN A STATE OF RESTRAINT WILL BE PERFORMED BY MYSELF (NO STUNT DOUBLES) AND MUST BE FILMED USING PRACTICAL EFFECTS (REAL, FUNCTIONING EQUIPMENT).

...It's currently unknown as to whether this was something she personally requested, or if her agent snuck it in there. Either way, it's certainly helped her shoot her way up into the elite ranks of the Hollywood A-Listers! ;)

Now for late-night-Wossa-rambling, if you're so inclined!

Many years back, I actually toyed with a similar concept - a movie star who goes out of her way to get tied up in all of her roles. It would have been a neat way to draw a bunch of damsel in distress/peril scenarios with wildly different costumes and settings, plus nobody would ever be uncomfortable with how dark the predicaments got because there'd always be a little "Aaaand cut! Great job!" panel at the end, maybe some cute little chibis or something.

Then again, maybe that'd ruin the picture for fans of genuine peril... Eh, well, if it's that big a deal to someone they could just open it up in MSPaint and remove the 'she's okay!' panel, right? :p Or would it be too late then, as the curtain has already been drawn back? Kinda makes me think of Jam's "Sophie the Bondroid" , an android character to fill the role of "a physically invulnerable OC to use as an outlet for my more over-the-top fantasies" - she's cute but hasn't made any return visits, and I wonder if deliberately making a character that can handle breathplay safely actually made her less appealing to some BP fans since the risk is part of the game?

Oh, another thing... Sometimes when DA and other sites start getting censor-heavy (hell, even Patreon is clamping down a little bit and has been banning Hypnosis artists because 'the character can't properly consent' or something... like, wha...?), it prompts me to think about this kind of concept again. A kinky cosplayer or actress, maybe with a very specific birthmark or tattoo etc, so that I can always say "See, it's ACTUALLY just my OC, and she's just on a movie set!" ... Hopefully we'll never see the day when this prospective character becomes a necessity.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What was great w/o color, is gorgeous with it. Nice detail with Aeria's "fine print" requirements when it comes to her DiD scenes! Shows how dedicated she is to such kinky "method acting." Late-night rambling's the best kind of rambling! I do like the idea of an actress who tries to make sure she tied up in every film scene she's in, regardless of genre or scenario. It could almost be a parody of sorts, where her attempts get more and more outlandish over the course of each "film" (posted pic, in this case). Maybe even have characters "offscreen" expressing confusion every once in a while, like "She knows that duct tape is just a prop, right?" Not sure if that's exactly what you had in mind, but still...very cool idea. I agree 115%. I mean, as tired as the phrase is, "to each their own" is the only response I can think of to your question about some people tuning out in response to any lack of geniuine bondage peril. Personally speaking, one of my favorite aspects of your artwork (Wossy & Aeria focused, as well as fanart), is how much humor you inject into each post. Most of the time, this is due to the peril of a given character being more of a game or joke on the captive than outright danger, and that doesn't at all ruin the content of the drawing in question. I guess the viewer's imagination also plays an important role, so as to still enjoy the possibility of peril despite having "seen through the curtain." And yes, hopefully that day never comes (complete with arm shrug right back atcha), but that second scenario you mentioned about the birthmarked or tattooed OC is another interesting idea; you could always up the meta humor by having her hold up a sign proclaiming her intent to be tied up, as if to say "yeah, guys? This was MY idea, actually." Honestly I can see that working as a mini-comic too, with WOssy and Aeria coming in to give a little presentation out of the blue. I get why Patreon and dA are getting censorship-heavy (it's hard to tell when the "line" is crossed by a given artwork, and sometimes that leaves good art digitally cast by the wayside), but either way it's not a perfect solution. Being the creative DiD-diligent artist that you are, though, kudos to you for consistently finding new and creative ways to portray such content despite these restrictions. Ramble over.

>Wossy in tight leather MMMHMMM that's some good Wossy~! Excellent work!

Very nice! And actually, I recall one artist (heaven help me if I know the name anymore) who had an 'actress' character who only did DID scenes in movies when the original refused in the storyline. It's not a bad concept really, and I dunno, I never minded it.

FANTASTIC work!!

This is a TREAT! And I particularly appreciate the option of vertical or horizontal layout. I happen to use a portrait-oriented monitor for viewing images, so the vertical makes way more sense for me. In fact, I would probably have re-edited the horizontal one myself to become vertical, had you not made it available.
