After seeing the trackers on this page, the spider-lady's reaction to Wossy and Aer on page 9 becomes all the more understandable; after such a horrible experience, who could blame her for lashing out? At least her attack against Wossy and Aer was non-lethal. Love how Ameline and the spider-lady's faces are normally shown w/o shadow, while those of the Archmage and said trackers are mainly shaded (adds to their dangerous and cruel personalities). I figured the punishment would be cruel, but wow...that is beyond what I thought would happen. What served as a comfort for the two kids ends up becoming a prison for one of them. So in short, I guess the answer would be: "I made a friend...only to lose her all too quickly."
