Legitimately the ONLY time I've seen a tearjerking moment mixed with a female character nuzzling another female character's breasts with their head...just wow for creativity. I'm guessing Drider was about to cast more webbing at Aeria to keep her at a distance (do I have that right?) but her power couldn't stop Aer from utilizing the magic of friendship hugs.
Also the fact that it was Aeria, and not Wossy, who ran over to hug Drider; I'd think she'd be a little more cautious, so the fact she barely hesitated despite Drider's demand for her to stay away says a lot about her kind nature. And the expression on Drider's face in that last panel: like someone who''d experienced compassion so long ago that they basically forgot what it felt like, and perhaps is even a bit uncomfortable with it after so many years of its absence.
Just beautiful stuff here, but that's no shocker.
