Oh, and don't worry too much about the 'conversion' and 'stone' stuff for now! Since this issue is more of a 'breather session' for both W&A and the readers to unwind after all the drama of issues 3 and 4, Sui and I figured this wouldn't be the time or place to do a deep dive into the 'magic doodads' subplot. So for now, the implication is that Aer has been better filled in on what's going on than we, the readers, have. Actual explanations will be given eventually, but we'd rather wait and find a nice way to tie it into a story rather than simply throwing a big ol' exposition dump at everyone.
