Some life news / work roadmap

Hi all,

My dad had open heart surgery yesterday - I haven't been given much details but the operation apparently went just fine. Later this week, after the hospital let him go, the current plan is for him to stay at my place for a month or so while he recovers. I'm told he's going to need to spend a lot of time in bed, and I'll be providing basic care as he's not expected to be able to lift anything for a while as his sternum heals and his general fitness returns.

I don't expect this will affect my work too much (the upside of already working from home - as long as I can get at least few hours to myself every day, the pics can keep coming), but we'll see. Fingers crossed for everything to be able to continue mostly as normal.

Assuming everything does slot into place nicely, here is what I have planned for the coming month:

April is the return of Bunny Season (of course, it never left!), so there will of course be a couple of WossyAers on the way. I've also still got plenty of those drafted mummy pics to clean up. So, OC content should be plentiful.

On the Fanart Vote catchup front, covering December and January's winners are my goals for the month. Still shamefully far behind, but everything will be done in time. As always, please bookmark the dropbox links for the past few months so that even if you cancel your pledge anytime soon, you'll still be able to see the finished FV winner pics whenever they get done, since I always put them in the folder for the month that they won, rather than the month they actually get drawn in. So, you won't need to have the April/May links to see the Dec/Jan/Feb etc winners - you're already entitled to those pics.

Regarding Escapades: another area where I'm woefully far behind, but I can see the home stretch now for the sketches. End of April or May to have the story all drawn out. Then, based on my logs and notes for previous issues, it should take 3 months to ink. Suichi and possibly someone else handle the flats at the same time as I ink (just working a page behind me), so that aspect thankfully doesn't factor into the time calculation, and I can just jump straight from inks into the final shading/cleanup portion, sorting the front cover, etc - which takes a single month.  With these timeframes in mind, September is the earliest possible final release, October is probably the most likely, and November is if I run into any hiccups along the way. With that in mind, please remember that your pledge tier can be changed at any time - if you'd like to stay pledged but the comic inking process doesn't interest you and you don't plan on submitting characters for the Fanart Vote, please feel free to drop down to either of the lower tiers for a while! I don't want anyone to feel like they're being strung along and receiving content that doesn't match what they're putting in.
