Hey everyone!
I just finished a considerable chunk of renders, enough for us to post a preview. This month has been pretty tight. I've only been able to do 160 images, not only due to a very tedious scene right at the intro but also the number of assets I had to port or re-port.
So far, I have ported a whopping 300+ assets, including items, maps, and VFX. Some of the assets were already initially ported, but the quality needed to be better, and some had bugs, so I had no choice but to source them out and re-port them. Most of these assets are only used during the intro. And it's not over; I still have a lot of things left to port as the development goes on.
Will I survive this?
With me a damn luck! 😅
Now, what is this intro thing I keep blabbing on about?
- It's a flashback to Moon's past, during the Glabia vs Sha Crea warfare, which is an essential backbone of her entire arc in this update. This is where we see what she's really capable of, and it will help us understand her current struggles. She has been a hidden core character in the main story, and it's time to dig her role out.
With Moon's show-up, the game's standalone genre will probably fall under slice-of-life sci-fi with a hint of fantasy. But I don't regret taking the story this far. I'm really loving it, personally.
That said, this is not the only tedious scene in this update. I have a lot coming my way, so really wish me good luck. 😅
One thing is for sure: this tiny grim reaper will blow you and your hearts away.
Anyway, this is all for now. We keep moving forward.
As always, take care, and have a great day!
