(*I used a translator, so the following may be somewhat inaccurate).
In the past, once a character had accumulated at least two character polls, I would collect the characters that lost the poll and spin a roulette wheel to draw the character chosen by the roulette wheel. (You could propose a character for the character poll as a comment on the character proposal post, which was only visible to the king tier.)
However, this didn't really benefit the long-time character proponents. The odds of roulette were always the same, so it was equally likely that someone would be chosen for the consolation match whether they were a first-time character or a character who had played 10+ times.
At this rate, someone could have backed me to King tier all their life and still end up losing in the Consolation Match. I thought this was unfair, and after thinking about it, I found a roulette that allows you to weight each entry in the roulette, so that in the future, characters that have appeared in the Consolation Match a lot will be weighted higher to increase their odds. Watch the video above to see what I mean.
From now on, the new roulette wheel will give characters that have been in Consolation matches for a long time a better chance of being selected, while also giving first-time characters a chance to be selected.
As before, only characters that have appeared in the most recent Character Poll at least twice will be eligible for Consolation Matches, but I will continue to accumulate a weight of 1 per Consolation Match appearance and add it to the next roulette.
This will be calculated starting with the Consolation Match in September 2022 and will continue to affect future Consolation Matches.
I don't know if the translator did a good job of translating what I wanted to say, hopefully Google-chan did a good job.
