What’s good, everyone?
You already know the drill—whenever it’s the first status report of a new episode...
Now, now… don’t lose your minds just yet. The update’s not dropping anytime soon. This episode’s gonna need some proper TLC, lots of prep, and above all, real attention. There’s a ton to consider, and I could tell you what… but that’d be spoiling things. Let’s just say it’s all about how I’m tackling the timeskip, and I’m not taking the easy road. There are a few different routes I could take, and I’m still feeling them out.
So, what can you expect?
Here’s what I can say:
Some girls will fall into place through exposition and choices.
Some will stay wrapped in mystery, waiting to be uncovered.
A few will show up in short flashbacks.
And one in particular, she’s just… stuck in time.
(I’ll shut up now before I spoil the whole thing.)
Of course, I won’t throw all of this at you at once. We’ll take it slow—one girl at a time. Step by step. Thoughtfully. Carefully. And about those three years we’re skipping over... Yeah… I can't exactly tell what happened in full detail. There’ll be some gaps, I can’t avoid that. That’s the trade-off with a massive timeskip: you lose time you could have used for character development. But it’s not a throwaway. The skip plays a crucial plot device in what’s coming next. I’m not doing this just because. I’ll do my best to make sure it feels tight and cohesive.
One thing I’m honestly a little worried about is that most of the past releases have been full-on Climax Episodes—packed with action, high stakes, and edge-of-your-seat moments. So, some of you might be expecting that same kind of firepower this time as well.
But let me be straight with you: that’s not what this update’s about.
Not every episode is gonna come out swinging with that same level of intensity. This one’s got more groundwork, more breathing room. Not less important, just quieter. There will be some heavier moments in future episodes. Just don’t expect every episode to be a full-throttle rollercoaster like the Climax ones. Sometimes, you just have to let the story simmer before it boils over.
Now, as for the roadmap.
I’ve barely scratched the surface. Still gotta flesh that out before I dive headfirst into writing and rendering.
Yeah, yeah, whatever, Nii. What's up with that 10% progress in the story?
Yeah… that’s what happens when restlessness kicks in. I actually pre-wrote and rendered the intro scene before I even officially kicked off Chapter 2. That’s how the first teaser dropped so fast.
But what about resting?
Don't worry about it. 😂
I’ve gotten some rest. And if I feel burnout creeping up, I’ll slow down.
Now onto the technical stuff.
As mentioned in a previous post, the timeskip means I’ll need to tweak a bit of the Ch1-Ep4 ending. Specifically? I want to give Klara more time to shine. Unfortunately, Kei’s planned birthday scene gets in the way, so… we’re shelving that for now. To do that, I’ll be cutting Shu’s dialogue about Kei’s birthday. That’s the only part getting trimmed.
⚠️ Heads up: Make a separate save before that scene. ⚠️
Speaking of saves… we're also planning a complete GUI overhaul. No idea yet if that'll mess with your save files, but yeah—brace yourself. If it breaks too much, I’ll try to release an updated Ch1-Ep4 with the new UI so you can replay and prep saves. If the GUI’s ready ahead of time, of course.
I'm praying this whole thing doesn't stretch all the way to December. I really don’t think it will, but again, I’m not making promises I can’t keep.
That’s it from me for now.
As always, stay safe, take care of yourselves, and have an awesome day.
