[Preview #2] MBML Chapter 2 - Episode 1

Wow. Hard to believe it's been almost a month since the last dev post. Where the heck did the time run off to?

I was planning to drop a status report, but honestly… there's not a whole lot to say just yet. This past month's been nothing but renders, animations, and hammering out the full outline and roadmap for Chapter 2. (Kinda bittersweet, really. Like the game's finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.)

Outlining ate up most of the time, which slowed down the writing and rendering a bit. Still, Episode 1 is moving along.

That said, like I mentioned in the very first status report, this episode's gonna take a while. There's plenty of stuff to think of (like pulling off a three-year timeskip might just be the dumbest bright idea we've ever had). But I'll save the nitty-gritty for the next status report, once I've ironed out more things.

Chances are I'll do one before the month's over.

For now, here's a batch of previews to tide you over. I'm gonna catch my breath a little—the mental weight of this update's starting to stack up.
