Jane Doe animation - What's up with it?

Hello! Long time overdue post update about our Jane Doe animation: Jane Doe's Break In.

TL;DR: I will resume working on it after I am done with the Zeliya & Claire "Are you gaming?" animation ✌️ It could be split in several parts because of how big it is.

Why is it still paused?

As some of you may know, earlier this year I had too many different projects going on so I decided to pause this animation to focus on others. So I focused on Anis & Helm's animation.

Then, Twitter happened. I wanted to resume working on Jane Doe's animation after I was done with Anis & Helm but unfortunately this animation didn't perform very well due to the changing Twitter algo (and things like censorship). So it kinda damaged my motivation to work on bigger projects. Pouring months of work into one project and seeing it slowly die out because of reasons out of my control is... frustrating to say the least

That's why I've experimented with smaller formats instead. Changing format was fun and helped fighting the frustration, and it was a great way to see how the smaller anims would perform compared to bigger format anims

Where are we now?

My motivation to work on bigger format came back thanks to my two OCs :D I'm having a lot of fun working on the "Are you gaming?" animation! It's not as big as what I intended Jane Doe's anim to be but it'll still pretty furnished. You've probably noticed with the WIPs I posted anyway lol

BUT ALSO!! I really want to finish the Jane Doe anim simply because I love the WIPs I have for it so far! I'm still so proud of what I've drawn for it and I really want to see it completed.

However there's still the problem of the algorithm not really being in favor of bigger projects. So what I'm going to do is once I finished and posted the Z&C "Are you gaming?" animation, I will analyze the results and decide if I need to change the storyboarding for Jane Doe's animation. To put it simply, the question is "do I make 1 big animation like I planned initially or do I split it into 2 or even 3 smaller animations?"

What's next?

So here's our roadmap for the coming months:

• Continue making smaller format animations (or illustrations) to avoid burning out from bigger projects and having some content to help you wait while I produce the bigger projects

• Finishing the Z&C "Are you gaming?" animation

• Focusing on Jane Doe as our next big project. Could be turned into several smaller animations instead of just one big animation

I already have an idea of what our next smaller format will be but more on that later~

What about the Astra X Evelyn animation?

I'm still thinking about what format I want it to be. So for now the focus is on other projects
