I don't know much about the games or lore, but you could draw Candela or Blanche (from Pokemon GO) getting bound and gagged by someone simply playing the Pokemon GO app. Maybe they mistakenly see Candela or Blanche as a threat to finding a rare Pokemon, and decide to get their "rival" out of the way through some D.I.D. If they use tape, maybe even have them urging the prisoner to pretend it was a Spinarak who left them bound and gagged.

Some of them added a variant or made an animated gif that would reveal the ropes and gag. Aside from that, the most common Pokemon DID stories involve the trainers being captured by the evil organization in the game, like Team Rocket or Team Skull.
