Oh, after reading this letter, I think I can see the background of this painting. One of the good ways to correct a student with a bad attitude is to punish her. ;) Through this letter it is expected what she will soon go through, which made the painting more exciting. Thanks for good story!

To Glynda Goodwitch, Headmistress of Beacon Academy Dearest Headmistress, I hope that this letter finds you in good health and proper spirits. I cannot thank you enough, once more, for the opportunity to serve as a substitute teacher at Beacon Academy; I have many fond memories of this place, and hope to change the lives of future Huntsmen and Huntresses in the most positive way possible. It is my goal to live up to the faith you placed in me for as long as I am able. That said, I am disappointed to say that one of my students has proven to be rather unwilling to respect my recent presence here. I believe you know of her, a Miss Weiss Schnee? This young woman has been nothing but rude to me, and after the events of last week (detailed in the attached letter), I was willing to patiently put up with her behavior no longer. It is true that Beacon Academy has changed greatly in some ways, mostly for the better; the facilities are cleaner, the textbooks of better quality...but the discipline of some the student body, especially those with Miss Schnee's attitude, is quite lacking. While many of my colleagues have complained about my use of punishment for her, I fully believe that Miss Schnee's attending detention with me after class was a necessarily rough experience. Everyone's ego could do with a little bruising, as long as the marks are behavioral rather than physical. I understand that I myself was guilty of such behavior myself as a student, almost the same kind that Miss Schnee displayed during my first month having her in class. It is for this reason primarily that I so regret failing to help her in a more, shall we say, dignified manner. But results are results, and I ask any teacher's committee to argue against that if they prefer to challenge my perspective. Please keep this letter in mind when reviewing my case for dismissal. I only want to help as best I can, and if there is a more preferable way to continue assisting Miss Schnee's attitude adjustment, I am all ears. Sincerely, Senovia Pellman
