But she had to experience the dark side in order to reject it. A lot of people don’t like this episode but I think it’s crucial to her character growth.

2024-11-28 05:30:32 +0000 UTCAs a former admin for a very large network, every time I see Kali I think of Kali Linux. It is (was?) the preferred OS for hacking. Kali's motto is: The more quiet you become, the more you can hear. The ST Kali was more into seeing than she was in hearing. And she broke into your mind instead of your network. :-) It's been 15 years since I retired. I'll have to see if Kali is still used.

I love this episode even more now for the foreshadowing they didn't even know they were doing. I considered this Eleven's "coming of age" episode. Having them use Bon Jovi's Runaway was amazing and became even funny as Millie Bobby Brown got older and ended up dating, then marrying Jake Bongiovi, Jon Bon Jovi's son. It's a cute moment I'm sure she will look back on fondly, so long as things work out! **fingers crossed** This episode was quickly hated by the vast majority of watchers. I think it was a very important one. El learned more about her powers from Kali. This is my own belief but I think there's a reason her name was Kali spelled that way. Just copied and paste here as it's a lot: Kali (/ˈkɑːliː/; Sanskrit: काली, IAST: Kālī), also called Kalika, is a major goddess in Hinduism, primarily associated with time, death and destruction.
