2024-12-07 00:30:17 +0000 UTCOk I had to pause to comment this lol. That scene where Jamie is getting freaky with Cersie next to their dead incest baby is something you should ignore. In the book that situation happens except Cersie was the aggressor and Jamie ultimately couldn't resist like usual. Even the show creators said they should've taken that out. It makes 0 sense for Jamie's character. I just pretend it never happened.

So SO many things take place in this series that would seem even worse that didnt create a stir at all. Just the stuff with the Boltons alone would seem more horrifying but perhaps also less real and relatable? As for the scene itself, Cersi has always been Jamies weakness, he would likely be living an entirely different life if she wasnt. From Jamies perspective (not that I am in ANY way justifying his actions) I am guessing that it enraged him to have his one true love use that to try to manipulate him into killing his brother for her. She was all kissy when giving him the dreadful task but then withholding to ensure he carried it out. Manipulation that he was in no mood for. Perhaps that is there excuse for why it was "consensual"? Either way, they are both pretty terrible people in this scene and at many other times as well.
