That's why reactors generally stipulate that you have to have your own copy and only give you a minute or two of audio/video at the beginning to sync up your copy. I'm not complaining, mind you, but I'd hate for her to get banned on here and then we lose all the watch-alongs.

Yes, the writing on and around the button means all the German stuff you mentioned, but, BECAUSE it's Tommy Lee Jones pressing the button -- and his name in MiB was "K" AND he pushed a button in the MiB car to make it go into super-duper speed -- it also works as a reference. Otherwise, the movie could've just had him jam on the accelerator and had Schmidt's weird super car be fast enough to catch up or just not had the moment where Schmidt pushes the plane to go faster. Sure, they can use a moment like that to up the stakes in the chase (though there are other ways to up the stakes in that moment) but the specifics of how they up the stakes and having Tommy Lee Jones be the one to push a button marked "K" in a black car to make it go super-duper fast is almost certainly an easter egg.

2025-01-07 10:16:32 +0000 UTCI'm watching on an ultrawide monitor and the version of the movie I'm watching on Disney+ looks exactly like Amber's, so I think Don might be right that you're just seeing a wider screen than you were expecting but it's actually the full ultrawide screen. So, no, I don't think anything is missing from the top or bottom.

2025-01-07 10:08:06 +0000 UTCI haven't seen Men In Black in at least 20 years, so I can't comment on the reference. But I do know that the word kompressor in German means supercharger. So that button with the letter k on it might just mean supercharger, which would allow the car to accelerate faster. And also, if you look at the words surrounding that button, it says "gefahr nicht drucken". Translated from German, that means "danger do not push". So that tells me it's just a supercharger button.

If you watch these in chronological order for your first time, it won't make sense, and it won't have the same impact. There is literally no benefit to watching these in chronological order. Chronological order should ONLY be watched once you've seen all of these movies at least once. Looking forward to your Avengers reaction!

And the corners are rounded off, so that takes off a tiny bit of the picture too. So that threw me off. I wonder why she's (or her editor) done that. And no, this movie isn't in ultrawide 21:9 ratio. It's 2.39:1, just like most other movies out there. 21:9 is a rare aspect ratio for movies, and 2.39:1 is quite common. This is my first movie I've watched here on her Patreon, so I'm wondering if other movies (specifically MCU) will look the same, with the letterbox bars being cut off.

Like it's much wider than it is tall. I understand the widescreen aspect, but still....I feel like we're not getting the whole picture, like we're missing a little bit from the top and bottom of that screen. Anyone else feel the same?

The Marvel movies don't completely fall off until after EndGame in Phase 4 and the Disney Plus shows. There are a few weak movies in phase 3 but overall the misses are fewer and the Hits build up for an Amazing payoff come EndGame.

The older man from the first scene that the Red Skull kills after finding the tesseract (blue cube) it the hidden drawer does play Mr. Filch with his cat in Harry Potter as well as Walder Frey in GOT. He was the host at the Red Wedding with all the children's that he's been trying to marry off. When Lady Catelyn threatened his wife, he just said he'd find another.

I always enjoy watching (especially on full-length Patreon watches) the reactions to the immediate credits which have nice music, artwork or graphics and the main actors’ names. There is often a mid-credits scene immediately after before the long scroll of credits runs.
