The Avengers (2012) Full Length

Some people have been suggesting Agents of SHIELD, but I would argue that the more important show / set of shows to watch is Daredevil and the Netflix Marvel shows. They are pretty great shows and they are making a new Daredevil show that's part of the MCU that will continue with these characters. So I would suggest you start watching Daredevil Season 1 alongside the MCU movies.

2025-01-13 00:57:36 +0000 UTCIt's a big commitment but I'd recommend watching Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. It loosely connects to the Marvel Universe. Most reactors discover Agents of Shield after they have seen all the movies and then they are kicking themselves that they didn't watch it sooner. If you already have enough on your plate, could you just watch the pilot?

2025-01-09 03:12:27 +0000 UTCGreat reaction! Unwritten superhero rule is that upon first meeting they must fight.

2025-01-09 02:43:59 +0000 UTCAmber just FYI, while the films were coming out there was also the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." tv series that was running that also ties into this phase of the MCU.

2025-01-08 17:22:40 +0000 UTCYou missed the second post credit scene lol That one will definitely make you laugh. Always check to the end of credits with these movies...some have multiple.

2025-01-08 09:00:06 +0000 UTCIt's really hard to hear you when the movie gets louder. Your voice becomes barely audible.

2025-01-08 06:31:53 +0000 UTCThat was Thanos at the end. MAJOR villain.

2025-01-08 03:58:26 +0000 UTC"Why did he give him a ten?" It's a callback to when Fury said "Ten bucks says you're wrong."

2025-01-08 02:03:18 +0000 UTCHi Amber, near the beginning of the movie when Cap gave Nick Fury $10, you asked why he was tipping Fury. Earlier when Nick first approached Cap, he bet Nick $10 that nothing would surprise him. Cap was paying him because he lost the bet. You missed that part.

2025-01-08 00:43:37 +0000 UTCThat's not true. Again, check out the Disney+ MCU order. Agent Carter is first. Captain Marvel takes place in the 1980s, and the Avengers take place in 2012. Did we watch the same movie?
David Berrios
2025-01-08 00:03:48 +0000 UTCCaptain Marvel took place in the 1980s. Check out the Disney+ Marvel Cinematic Universe order. So, no, you're wrong. :)

2025-01-08 00:01:30 +0000 UTCI love that you're watching the MCU in release order. Since you’re going to watch the MCU, no use suggesting any since you're going down the list. However, I am going to suggest "Blade" (1998). This film is recognized as the first commercially successful Marvel movie, pivotal in transforming the studio's direction by achieving significant box office success and helping to pave the way for the development of the MCU. Another suggestion is "The Crow" (1994), while this comic book based film is not associated with Marvel or DC, is noteworthy for its role in popularizing a darker style of superhero-inspired action films, of which "Blade" is a prime example. "The Crow" also boasts an impressive soundtrack featuring influential alternative rock artists from the early 1990s. If your preferences include action-packed comic book films that effectively incorporate elements of dark fantasy, supernatural, and horror, both "Blade" and "The Crow" are essential viewing.

2025-01-07 23:19:02 +0000 UTCWe need to hold your feet to the fire on the end credits lol. Captain America will shine more in later films as will some others. These first few films are setting the foundations. Once you get to the second avengers you’ll see characters in a whole new light. 2nd reminder, some films have a lot of mid, post/end credits so just get into a habit of fast forwarding all the way until it cuts off lol.

2025-01-07 21:50:25 +0000 UTC"Who is that??" Keep watching, and you will most definitely find out. Did you notice that hawkeye was the agent on the crane above when Thor was trying to retrieve Mjolnir in his movie? You met them all before this movie

2025-01-07 18:00:38 +0000 UTCHorrible idea. The ONLY way to watch the MCU for your first time is to watch them in theatrical release order.
Dodger Blue 311
2025-01-07 17:55:20 +0000 UTCBlack Widow is THE best spy on the planet (with the exception of probably Nick Fury). Trying to break her emotionally is a pointless attempt lol, even for Loki. Also the “Hulk” is actually another being. Separate from Banner. It’s not just him but it’s actually another entity with its own thoughts and personality altogether. So him referring to the hulk as “the other guy” is accurate. Captain America is one of the best strategists in comics. In Marvel Comics he may very well be the best. So him being the one to give out strategy and orders during the final fight is perfect. Him and Tony are kinda like co-captains of the MCU avengers. Tony being a brilliant mind and genius and Cap being a natural leader and tactician/strategist. They pair very well together. Lastly, I love the pace of your reactions! It’s very refreshing compared to having to wait 1-2 weeks in between to see a reaction for a series I like. I mean if your pace slows down I’ll still enjoy ofc but I love that you react back to back and post more regularly.

2025-01-07 14:40:51 +0000 UTCI have nothing but the utmost respect for Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye). The accident that came a bit too close to taking his life a couple of years ago had to of been Hell to go through. Now, this is only speculation on my part but I noticed years ago he has clubbed fingers. There's a few differ reasons fingers can club with lung damage being the number one reason. I have clubbed fingers too so it hit me hard when he was crushed knowing it had to of hit his lungs in some way. Trying to heal your lungs with damage already present is hard. I'm not saying his lungs were damaged prior to the accident but if they're the reason behind his clubbing... damn. I could try to describe clubbing but it's a bit hard to succinctly. Look it up, it's worth knowing about as it took doctors well over a decade to diagnose it.

2025-01-07 14:34:18 +0000 UTCHi Amber =) You are smashing content so fast it's incredible. I am slowly and surely making my way through it all however I am finding that quite a bit of content is left out of your Collections tab and is kinda tough to find. If it was just a movie or episode here or there that would be no problem but I am noticing entire seasons and franchises missing from the tab. Also some of the GoT reactions don't have an episode number in the title so I can't search for specific episodes unless I first google the episode title then search Patreon. But I am loving your insightful and passionate reactions and can't wait for all the exciting moments ahead.

2025-01-07 08:14:19 +0000 UTCI also want to mention that Ed Norton play Banner/Hulk in the Hulk movie you watched . He had I believe an ego trip and started demanding things. Also he was difficult to work with. So they recast him with Mark Ruffalo which was a great decision. Hope that explains that situation

2025-01-07 07:57:58 +0000 UTCAmber. I just joined your patreon just in time to watch this movie. The Avengers was the movie that got me hooked on the MCU even though I seen the movies leading up to this one. You still got a ways to go but they’re a blast to watch I was worried you were going to pass up the end credits scene. You were introduced to the main culprit/ villain. The one smiling. That is Thanos. Very powerful. You will see more of him as you watch more MCU. This phase is over. Now to the next phase. I don’t mean to be critical but Barton is called Hawkeye not Hawk. Sorry

2025-01-07 07:40:45 +0000 UTCThink we all really enjoy your reaction but as many have commented, when the action is loud as it is often in marvel movies, we can't really hear anything you're saying, the noise drowns out your voice when you talk. Just so you're aware :)

2025-01-07 05:23:29 +0000 UTCAmber, I have only one request for the Avengers series - please watch the credits immediately following the end of Endgame and include your reaction to it. Not talking about an after credits scene, but the actual first few minutes of credits. Seriously reaction worthy in my opinion.
Brian Shapiro
2025-01-07 04:47:37 +0000 UTCWhen Tony says to Thor, "Nice swing there Point break" he is referring to Thor looking like a jacked surfer guy like in the movie "Point Break" starring Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. Great heist movie. You should really check it out. Very early in Keanu's career.

2025-01-07 04:07:52 +0000 UTCWhat’s the difference between Iron Man and Aluminum Man? Iron Man stops the bad guys, but Aluminum Man only foils their plans. 😉

2025-01-07 03:19:32 +0000 UTCThis movie had TWO scenes to watch: one mid-credits (which you did see); and one after credits. Many will be like that so check for them. Also it’s not “the Hawk”, it’s “Hawkeye”. The Hawk was just a nickname Erik Selvig was using.
Susan Holly
2025-01-07 02:52:46 +0000 UTCNow we're at the end of phase 1 of the MCU and that means we're getting more than just one scene in the credits After the actors and first wave of filmmakers are shown, a MID-CREDITS scene is given to us and that one is usually reserved for things that will be coming either in the very next movie or sometime much later on in this journey The post-credits scene is now just for laughs pretty much or just to resolve something that wasn't concluded properly Be sure to watch for both types from now on please
Karl Kraus
2025-01-07 02:51:56 +0000 UTCThe purple figure in the mid-credits scene is called Thanos He'll be popping up here and there along the way but I won't say more than that because that's spoiler territory Just know... he's one of the strongest and most ruthless villains in Marvel lore
Karl Kraus
2025-01-07 02:51:15 +0000 UTCNo. She'll see it when it was released how we all did and how Marvel wanted it to be seen.

2025-01-07 02:42:06 +0000 UTCThe early Spider-Man movies (1-2-3) with Tobey Maguire & the other 2 with Andrew Garfield. Those stories are gonna make sense later on, that leads to the newest Spider-Man, (Tom Holland). The first "Hulk", with Eric Bana & Jennifer Connelly (How he becomes Hulk). So a few.

2025-01-07 02:10:17 +0000 UTCYea, we were confused with some of the credit scenes too, but they are necessary because they do make sense later.

2025-01-07 02:08:19 +0000 UTCYou missed another post credit scene. That’s really funny. It plays even later than what you watched. By the way that’s a reveal of the next villain Thanos if you’re into the comic books, you’re aware of who Thanos is. I’m like you I didn’t know any of these people, but I learned them overtime. You have to see that post credit scene. It’s hilarious it involves all the avengers.

2025-01-07 01:48:55 +0000 UTCIn Loki's defense imagine as a very young adult(in asgardian years he was I believe 1200 which is like an earth teen to 20 year old) you found out that the parents who you had constantly tried to please and the brother who you'd alwys lived in th shadow of were not only not your real family but that your real family was a race of people you'd been told your whole life were inferior and evil. Also that your true form was so unattractive that they had to change it with magic. That would definitly give you body dismorphia issues not to mention a lot of pain and rage He realised he never had a chance of beating his brother to become king no matter how hard he tried he would always be thought of as less than. In Thor he killed loufey (his dad) to prove he wasn't one of them I think to himself as much as his adopted mother and father. Then when he fell he found someone powerful who gave him the chance to rule. Loki is also affected by the stone in the staff you see him use on others and the director and writer confirmed he was tortured before getting to earth that's why he limps at the begining of this film and looks so nuts in the scene with selvig at the end of Thor. Hope that wasn't too long just stuff to contemplate.

2025-01-07 00:46:42 +0000 UTCCaptain America tells Stark he's not the one to sacrifice himself for others, but when there's a nuclear warhead Tony Stark is the man who grabs it and takes it to another universe with no idea whether he will survive. Think about how Stark is perceived vs. how he acts when he's needed.
James Melton
2025-01-07 00:38:09 +0000 UTCNotice the foreshadowing in the middle of the movie when Captain America tells Iron Man that he is not the guy to lay his life down on the wire and in the end he is the one who takes the nuke through the wormhole.
