Comments

Amber one episodes are playing and you’re giving your comments. Your volume is very low. Hard to hear.

Arya is up top for my favorite characters and I even dislike this part of her story on the show. I was so confused at first but I said forget it....and read about it on my own. I just had to have verification of my understanding before moving further. I think her arc has been explained well in these comments with minimal spoilers so hopefully that helps. The only thing I might add is think to yourself....if someone were to become no one...couldn't they then become anyone? If she does in fact really become no one....couldn't she take the role of anyone convincingly? Time will tell.

Jessica Houser

I’ll never understand people who comment on episodes they don’t watch to complain that they aren’t getting enough of a completely different show. Amber has a lot of shows she reacts to and she does have a life with three children. I dont watch Stranger Things but when there are several drops of that show I just patiently wait for GOT. Your disrespect and language would have me removing you from my platform if I were Amber.

Jennifer Sherrard

I have seen this series ten or more times. I know how the hit episodes land. I know which ones will hurt you and I am sorry for that. When Amber said "Sansa is so much different then when we first met her, trauma does that," I echoed yes it does. It's the first time this hit hit me back. The first time it made me cry. Hell, I'm still crying. Thank you Amber for taking the time to help me feel what trauma buried for me long ago.

I read the books. I'm getting really tired of waiting for winds of winter. I mean really tired

Marty B

Very well said.

Drewcliff82

Thought it is interesting, the show has a lot of filler parts that could have been left out in this part of Arya's story. They tried to draw too much out of it.

Drewcliff82

Joffery is a pure psychopath. He simply has no concept of reality (Thanks to a combo of incest and the way his mom raised him) so he doesn't understand how awful the things he's doing truly are. Ramsey is a sociopath in that he truly knows the gravity and evil of what he's doing, but does it nonetheless bc he enjoys it.

Drewcliff82

She just needs a better mic and one of those things that has volume control.

Drewcliff82

Well said.

Drewcliff82

And to u from Cincinnati 😂

Drewcliff82

Yea even in the book this portion of the Arya in Bravos arc sucks lol. A lot of it could have been cut out. Just takes too long. And later I'll reveal the crucial thing in that arc that isn't in the books lol.

Drewcliff82

Finally. That is why I don't rank this season as high as I would. And frankly, that part is boring af in the books too lol. Arya is one of the best characters but that bs sucks. Her story over there just takes way too long to pick up. Much of it could have been skipped.

Drewcliff82

Yes in the books he marries Jeyne Poole (Who's dad was killed by Jamie in the fight outside Little Finger's brothel in which Ned was injured, not by a spear but by his horse falling on him) but everyone thinks she's Arya Stark bc Ramsey (AKA Reek) is parading her as such.

Drewcliff82

Yea I was like Holy $#!+ wtf. 😂🤣😅😂😂😂 then I went all day without thinking about it till now after a night of drankin n UFC n a little puff puff and I had to go back to make sure it was real. 😂🤣😅🤣😂 No chill lol.

Drewcliff82

Not you. I find it difficult to hear her commenatry, too. I have to increase the volume to hear it.

Ludwvin Martinez

Ramsey, what he did to theon was absolutely evil.

Kristin D

It’s like they knew they had to include it because it was canon, but they didn’t know what to do with it because GRRM never got around to writing it. I agree it is muddled.

Jenny Anckorn

Is it just me?? Can you all hear Amber's commentary throughout the show? I cannot hear most of it and she is whispering for some of it.

Candace May

❤️❤️❤️❤️. Knew this was going to make you hate Ramsey even more. He's absolutely horrid!!! It's hard to choose who is worse, Joffrey or Ramsey!

Debi Bailey

Ramsey makes joffrey look like an angel lol

Good morning, I just want to say I’m far from perfect and been known to have a potty mouth. I’m the son of a sailor, after all. We’re all adults here, but I think using excessive profanity and trolling is not only disrespectful, it’s distracting. If you have to use profanity, at least be funny or enlightening.

Sweetish_Jeff_25

That IS a great question, isn't it?

Pianodean

I appreciate your enthusiasm and passion. It’s always interesting to compare different universes and characters. That being said, let’s try and keep the conversation respectful. Thank you.

Sweetish_Jeff_25

So, essentially, would one consider this episode a “Game of Groans”? 😉

Sweetish_Jeff_25

Excellent analogy!

Sweetish_Jeff_25

The story around Arya is incredibly interesting. Remember "There is only one god, and his name is Death. And there is only one thing we say to Death: Not today." The words of her sword instructor from Braavos. Now she is in Braavos learning the secrets of the one god, the many-faced god, Death. We know Death takes many forms and so has many faces. But the people who serve this god are humble and give up their past, their name, even their faces to become a Faceless Man. "I am nobody" they don't just say this, they become this. Can Arya become Nobody? That's the question of this part of her story arc.

James Melton

Being mentored by a wise teacher is part of the mythical hero's journey. Notice how Tony Stark was taught by the doctor in the cave whose last message was not to waste his life. That's when Stark became the hero Iron Man.

James Melton

I'm dying! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣

t’s kind of funny but rewatching this episode I couldn't help but make a connection with Arya Stark's Story development up to this point with Luke Skywalker story development particularly in Star Wars A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. Both characters initially aspire for more than their predetermined roles; Luke desires to escape his farming life on Tatooine, while Arya rejects the notion of being a lady of Winterfell. They share motivations rooted in avenging loved ones—Luke seeks justice for his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, whereas Arya pursues vengeance for her father, Ned Stark and family. Each character has two main mentors: Luke learns from Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda, while Arya is guided by figures like Syrio Forel and Jaqen H'ghar. After losing their first mentors in combat, both use this as fuel for their quests. Their training echoes a mystical journey. Both undertake training in an ancient religiously based order. Arya learns from Jaqen H'ghar to become a Faceless Man, paralleling Luke's time with Yoda on Dagobah to become a Jedi Knight. As they struggle with their training—Luke grappling with attachments and Arya with her identity—they both navigate their youthful recklessness, which complicates their growth. I’m not going any further to reveal any plots we haven't seen yet.

Love watching this with you!

Regarding the Whose on first skit, maybe I can help. Think of 3 men, one of them is named "Whose". The second man is named "What's" and the third man is named "I don't know whose" and each of these 3 man are on 3 bases of a baseball diamond In the skit Costello is asking the question, Whose on first? And he's expecting Abbot to give him an average name of who is on first base, but Abbot just confirms that the man named Whose is on first by saying Yes. In other words Costello asked Whose (the man) on first? And Abbot replied yes. Costello was waiting for Abbot to tell him who was on first. The gag continues by saying What (the man) is on second and the man named I don't know whose on third. Costello continues to ask Whose on first? waiting for an actual name, but Abbot just says yes, Whose (the man) on first, What's (the man) is on second. At some point, I think Costello asks Whose on third? And Abbot says No, Whose (the man) on first and I don't know whose (the man) is on third. I hope that helped and I didn't confuse you more. Hopefully if you watch that skit again understanding that Whose, What's and I don't know whose are the names of 3 men , it will become clear

Tara

Hey Amber, At the beginning of the episode you mentioned that you thought Arya storyline was the toughest and I was waiting for you to see Sansa. As horrible as that wedding was and everything that came after, I actually liked the setting for a small wedding at night with lanterns lighting the way. Arya wants to be a faceless man like Jaqen Hagar. We've seen a couple times now where his face changed right in front of her and in order for Arya to move forward in her training, they want her basically give up being Arya Stark. She got rid of all of Arya's things (except needle) and they want her to become a blank slate before she can become some else the way Jaqen did and the way for her to do that is to become no one which would be like having no identity. She'd no longer be Arya Stark, she'd be "no one"

Tara

As soon as I saw the episode title I was worried for you because your so empathic towards the characters. You got through Sansa's scene better then I expected. It tore me up not just for her but I loved Ramseys actor s the nerd guy on misfits so it's hard seeing him like that. Anyway hugs from KY in case you need it after this one.

Melody Netherton

So many things I wanna say but no spoilers. that is maybe one of the hardest scenes to watch but it was necessary. I actually had to watch the show three times before I caught all the nuances of the Arya arc so don't feel alone.

Marty B

im with you Amber, the Aria 'arc' is not only confusing, its frankly boring. I hated it first time around and its like water torture this time. Its the only moments i truly disliked in the entire show so it barely dents my A grade for the series but I loved her character so much... then this oddly abusive death ritual respect hate yada yada.... a bit much.

Scott

When Haquen was asking Ariya about the hound he kept slapping her because he knows she no longer hated the hound.

Jeff

I believe that in the books, Sansa never married Ramsey, what we see is a storyline for another girl in the books (the marriage and rape). Therefore, Sansa never had to endure THAT in the books.

Kristin D

Who shit in your cheerios😂🤣😅🤣😂😂

Drewcliff82

Love this one. And apparently, don't forget Stranger Things 🤷‍♂️.

Drewcliff82

Man fuck your games of pussies. Give me eleven and her gang they would fuck up your GOT pussy are universe.

ITMacPro

TF 😂🤣😅🤣😂 Calm down bub.

Drewcliff82

Where the fuck is Stranger Thinks?!! You a troll. I hope Karma exists.

ITMacPro

I’ve been waiting for this kind of welcomed distraction all day! Thanks Amber!

Patty Estrada

Yay!!! Amber, if possible check out my comment from last episode. I'm curious if you're game?
