Doctor Strange (2016) Full Length

I'm not sure what you know about the actor who plays Dr. Strange. He is Benedict Comberbatch and he was the voice of Smaug in the Hobbit movie. I highly recommend pulling up a behind the scenes clip of him acting out Smaug with all of the dots on his face and body for the CGI! So talented! He has a following of diehard fans that jokingly refer to themselves as "the Comberbitches" 😆

2025-01-28 21:15:23 +0000 UTCI've heard of his work but have never looked into it fully. Seems I may be doing so soon. I'm also quite interested in spiritual and magics at the same time. I lean more towards Eastern religion apart from the dirty word "religion ". All it denotes to me is gossip and fashion, not spirituality. Esoteric teaching is where my heart lies. There are so many things we have no idea about. It's fascinating to me.

2025-01-28 21:13:16 +0000 UTCI finally finished. I haven't watched this since the release. Mads Mikkelsen, who plays the bad guy is so amazing. He played Hannibal Lector in the TV series Hannible. He's quite honestly the only other "Dr. Lector" that works, next to of course, Sir Anthony Hopkins. That's a HUGE compliment from me. He's got good comedic timing.

2025-01-27 08:16:17 +0000 UTCI definitely respect that. To each is own. I joined the Army in 06 and didn't do anything other than drinking until 2024 when I began smoking weed again to help with my PTSD issues after being hospitalized for a week.

2025-01-27 07:43:19 +0000 UTCNot to burst anyone’s bubble, but I’ve never taken acid nor smoked weed. I’ve never smoked anything and I’m a social drinker and rarely do that anymore.

2025-01-27 06:12:03 +0000 UTCBefore Bruce Willis got sick, I had this crazy idea of one last “Die Hard” movie called “Die Hardest”. It would have been one last battle between John McClane and the Gruber clan. I thought Cumberbatch would have been perfect to play Hans Gruber Jr. He plays a great superhero, but he also plays a great villain, too.

2025-01-26 06:15:05 +0000 UTCno.... Amber clearly has a personal 'astro projection' fetish - ghost story, godless sort of 'power of energy' hence her geek books. LOL. She will enjoy it... the humor, color etc... but guardians of the Galaxy will remain by far her favorite because there is much more than one Gimmick \ sorcery... im not a Marvel fanboy expert. but i think there are some duds coming up. New Capt America is terrible.

2025-01-26 05:09:55 +0000 UTCOkay Amber, I looked through the comments first before posting this, to make sure no one else already mentioned it. Your interest in Astral Projection is shared here. Are you familiar with Robert Monroe? He did work on the subject for the CIA in the '70"s I believe. The project was "shut down", but not before he found substantial results. There are audio books out there somewhere. I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find them, although you might have to pay for them. I'm not sure how much they mention in your books about the process and all that, but Robert Monroe was where it all started, to really take off.
Jason Walters
2025-01-26 04:49:36 +0000 UTCYes he's amazing and it's one of the few shows with a perfect ending! I do think she'd like Sherlock as well. The storytelling is so good!

2025-01-26 03:05:44 +0000 UTC"Who is the most important hero?" Part of the premise of The Avengers is that they have to work together and none is more or less important. But... looking at the scope of their powers and the range of responsibilities they assume, Captain Marvel is the most significant.

2025-01-26 02:59:39 +0000 UTCI believe Amber is going to enjoy Thor Ragnorak more than Dr. Strange. :)

2025-01-26 02:37:59 +0000 UTCHouse has a lot of uneasy or gross medical moments too so... bad idea lol
Karl Kraus
2025-01-26 02:18:22 +0000 UTCUntil this point Doctor Strange is probably the most powerful super hero at least with the time stone. Debatable, but Wanda and Vison have also pretty strong powers that came from an infinity stone. Doctor Strange is also a very important if not one of the most important characters. But can't spoil anything :D
Boerben
2025-01-26 02:13:00 +0000 UTCThe Sorcerer Supreme - Tilda Swinton has played a lot of great roles. My personal favorite is Gabriel in Constantine. You should add it to your list as another great comic book based movie starring Keanu Reeves.
Jim Madden
2025-01-26 02:09:54 +0000 UTCWhat a lovely thing to come home to! If you like Dr, Strange's actor you should check out his version of Sherlock. It's pretty popular so you'd probably get a lot of views and its a great show. I'm not a huge grey's anotomy fan but you'd probably love Scrubs or House.
Melody Netherton
2025-01-26 02:09:49 +0000 UTCHaving such a bad day. And u posting this really made it better. Love this film, about to start watching rn! 🫡

2025-01-26 02:02:09 +0000 UTCHow does Marvel make movies that feel so different from each other? They can do this because Marvel has created countless stories over decades and in making these movies they've drawn from the best. Marvel as a company is a fantastic storytelling machine. Marvel management realized after seeing the weaker XMen films and the complete failure of Fantastic Four movies that they needed to control the process in order to tell the stories that they already knew were winners.
James Melton
2025-01-26 01:53:57 +0000 UTCThe actor that plays Doctor Strange is also the voice for Smaug in the Hobbit movies.

2025-01-26 01:46:06 +0000 UTCSome fun Info when Strange is in his Car and he is hearing about Cases he can take. The first one is Rhodey and his accident at the end of Civil War.

2025-01-26 01:40:03 +0000 UTCI don't mind either It's just intriguing how the source material and the adaptation diverge like this Plus, im sure there are comic enthusiasts out there who didn't quite appreciate the moves that were made

2025-01-26 01:15:56 +0000 UTCYes that whole album is fire. I always wonder how it would have been with Sid if he was still around when they had a lot more money to spend on production. Like imagine him on Dark Side. 🤔
Drewcliff82
2025-01-26 01:08:19 +0000 UTCI noticed in two of the last three movies, there came a moment in the story that an act or idea to follow is absolutely forbidden and CANNOT be followed through on, only for it to be the saving grace to the main character In Ant-Man, Scott wanted to fiddle with the regulator in the suit, only for Hank to say DON'T or the Quantum Realm will be his eternal fate Turned out both of those things simultaneously saved him AND cassie from further harm from Yellowjacket Here, the laws of nature were bent to the most extreme point when Strange used the Eye of Agamotto to experiment on an apple and the tome of spells, then to save Hong Kong by turning back time and to battle Dormmamu with a time loop Mordo abandoning the group in protest of this is pure commentary in how this universe keeps being populated with beings who put everything at risk just to save everything It's fascinating to mull over
Karl Kraus
2025-01-26 01:06:43 +0000 UTCI don't mind them taking liberties when the end result just works so well. Tilda Swinton nailed that role. A badass in her own right, and very plausible as a guardian who had lived for who knows how long.

2025-01-26 01:06:32 +0000 UTCYes!!!! Floyd is definitely in my top 5 all time bc they have such a variety to choose from. Each album is almost like a movie with its own vibes. Wish You Were is one of the best albums of all time imo, mainly bc Shine on You Crazy Diamomd. Have a cigar, welcome to the machine and wish you were here are great songs as well but SOYCD is just a journey. And David G. And R. Waters both are just amazing live.

2025-01-26 00:03:36 +0000 UTCMarvel was really hitting its stride. It had a good formula or method, and now it had been applying it to different settings and genre. Let's do a Marvel movie, but make it a spy thriller. Captain America: The Winter Soldier Marvel, but outer space: Guardians Marvel, but a heist movie: Ant-Man Marvel, but with magic! And here we are

2025-01-25 23:43:59 +0000 UTCDoctor Strange has some fascinating connections to Pink Floyd. It all starts in 1968 with a hidden image of Doctor Strange on the cover of Pink Floyd’s A Saucerful of Secrets. Plus, the band’s song Cymbaline even mentions Doctor Strange by name. In the Doctor Strange movie, there's another nod to the band: Stephen Strange wears a shirt from The Madcap Laughs, an album by Syd Barrett, a former Pink Floyd member. And before his car accident, the iconic Pink Floyd track Interstellar Overdrive plays in the background. A month before the film’s release, David Gilmour invited Benedict Cumberbatch to perform on stage with him at the Royal Albert Hall in London on September 29, 2016. The two sang a rendition of Comfortably Numb, which is interesting since the song was originally titled The Doctor—likely just a coincidence, but a cool one nonetheless.
