Thor: Ragnarok (2017) Full Length

Comments

Damn that handsome thor...

Millie Long

Yep that is Jeff Goldblum. You saw him in Independence Day flying to the mothership with Will Smith to blow it up. He's a great actor.

Jayce

I may actually squeal out loud when Infinity drops

Sam Mascaro

Quite frequently when I’m riding in an elevator with my wife I’ll turn to her and say “Hey, let’s do Get Help”, initiating our own version of that exchange to which I’ll add tickling her. When the doors open I step out and say loudly “Get Help!”usually startling whoever happens to be standing nearby then follow that with “Oh, never mind, she’s fine” and proceeding on our way leaving any onlookers perplexed 😉

Tony F.

It’s also more fun for us I feel. Extra stuff to do in between reactions

MadeByMali

I wouldn’t expect her to be super active. She has a family. But a lot of creators definitely find discord more engaging than Patreon. They can converse with their viewers in real-time convos instead of just reading a comment and replying

MadeByMali

Thing is she barely reads her patreon chat you really think she will have time to or if she does will actually chat in discord?

Mike Luker

Exactly!!!

Rowan

Yes, Idk how anyone could forget that epic fight scene.

Drewcliff82

Yes, he was.

Drewcliff82

That needs to be added to the list lol.

Drewcliff82

Yea mine is 10 years old and has a solid web browser. Can't go wrong with Samsung.

Drewcliff82

I tried that before but it just lagged way too much and the audio struggled to stay synced

Drewcliff82

I have a Samsung smart TV I bought like 10 years ago. I just go to the internet browser from the smart menu, then go straight to the Patreaon website. You can use your remote but I recommend getting a wireless mouse and keyboard and plugging the USB adapter right into the USB input on your TV. I have no issues with it.

Drewcliff82

😂🤣😅🤣

Drewcliff82

Or for Infinity Wars lol

Drewcliff82

Yea so far Doctor Strange had the best audio balance between the movie audio and her audio of everything I've watched.

Drewcliff82

Amazing movie, great reaction. Audio levels were WILDLY out of wack in this one. Just a friendly note. Still watched but could barely hear the movie. Can’t wait for the next one.

Eric Smoak

Amber should do a live stream after Phase 3.

Charles Allen

Yes, true thanks

Valerie Boyco

Amber - Hope you're ready for the next two MCU movies. They both made over a Billion dollars at the box office and are two of the top 10 highest grossing movies of all time. Ohh...and they're both pretty incredible movies too. Can't wait for the Epicness(that a word?)

The Mad Icelander

Yes. The 2nd one. Look it up. Edit, I was wrong. It was The Bourne Ultimatum. His character name was Kirril. He was the assassin chasing Bourne. That was 2004. Dang, I've been harboring this crush for 20 years!!!!

Rowan

No, it follows Spiderman: Far From Home, which is the last movie of Phase 3.

Dodger Blue 311

100% agreed. *VERY* few scenes top that one in all of the MCU.

Dodger Blue 311

Taika did a great job with this movie, but he completely jumped the shark with Love and Thunder though.

Dodger Blue 311

Yeah, I noticed Amber calmly and quietly was enjoying that scene lol. She clearly likes to keep her reactions G-rated, but you can tell she was very much enjoying that scene.

Dodger Blue 311

My TV is dumb. I need a Roku to bring it's intelligence up. Lol. I know what's on my list for my next one. 😁

Karen Silvera

Thanks. I figured it out!

Karen Silvera

Karl Urban was never in any of the Bourne movies.

Dodger Blue 311

It all depends on what tv you have. My tv is just a couple years old and has an Internet app. So it gives me the ability to go to any website I want on my tv, like a computer. That's how I watch her reactions.

Dodger Blue 311

Per mythology: Hel is the goddess of death, see the following on her and Loki's actual relationship as it's written in Norse myth. Loki : The son of Fárbauti, a jötunn, and Laufey, a goddess The brother of Helblindi and Býleistr The husband of Sigyn, and father of Narfi and Váli The father of Hel, Fenrir, and Jörmungandr by the giantess Angrboda (by eating her heart) Hel, or Hela is Loki's daughter in OG myth, she is not Thor's sister but Fenrir the giant wolf is her brother. As you can see, they changed a few things, in the MCU Laufey is not a goddess and Loki's mom but instead is the King of the Frost Giants of Jotun who they have as Loki's dad.

Ralatar

I use my phone then use smart play to stream my phone to my TV.

Solparadox

Thank you for that info in an easy to digest format.

Karen Silvera

Wow! I did not know that! Very cool.

Karen Silvera

Amber, Thor is a God. He’s The God of Thunder. That’s where he gets his power

Tara

Hey all, is it possible to stream this on a TV? If so, can someone give me help before Infinity? Or point me in the right direction to find out? Thanks!

Karen Silvera

Amber, when they were watching the play at the beginning, you mentioned the actor playing Thor looked like him. It was his brother Luke Hemsworth. Matt Damon played Loki. Then there’s the LOTR combo. Cate Blanchett who played Hela also played Galadriel. Her sidekick is Karl Urban and he played King Theoden’s nephew Eomer. It was his sister with the long blonde hair who fell in love with Aragorn

Tara

Tony called Thor “Point Break” in the first Avengers movie

Tara

Hahaha. Guess this ain't PG-13 anymore, lol.

The Mad Icelander

Also WandaVision turns into a fantastic piece after starting deceptively light. It helps to have actually watched TV from all the eras WV covers. Maybe start with I Love Lucy and work up through Bewitched and Dick Van Dyke show. It's a lot of cultural background to pick up I guess 😀

James Melton

Blanchett makes Hela truly fearsome and shows this is about more than special effects. She's remarkable.

James Melton

No she doesn't.

Rowan

I can now that we're done with that one! 🤪

Rowan

Lol Rowan, you need to cool off ;)

Gary

Wow Amber, your mic volume on this one was REALLY loud! Great movie huh, so entertaining.

Gary

I totally agree.

Jason Johnson

Mine too 😁

Karl Kraus

Do you have a discord?

MadeByMali

Oooooh, girl. The next two movies...

Mark Adolph

Chris Hemsworth was on the UK talk show Graham Notion. He said there was a (very ill) young boy visiting the set one day, and he was the one who suggested the line "He's a friend from work!". One of Chris's favorite lines.

Vanessa Hand

Rugrats and Rocket Power! My favorites

Amber Walker

And the nick tools rugrats and rocket power

Karl Kraus

The volume has gotten lower

Rashad Walker

Correct 😁

Jenny Anckorn

Huge yes!

Rowan

My favorite Marvel movie!! The Thor/Loki buddy comedy aspect is so perfect and fun to watch.

Jenny Anckorn

Inorite?? I was like ummm... how do you miss HIM?

Rowan

You know my thoughts align with yours Drew.

Rowan

I'll handle things after the beer.

Rowan

You guys can laugh at me... cause I laugh at myself about this film. There's waaaaaay too much hotness going on in this one. First and foremost, Karl Urban... the one who played the asshole until the end. He's a hall pass celeb for me! Love The Boys but first got a peek at him in Bourne Identity? The 2nd Bourne. He hit me like a sack of bricks. Then, my sweet crush, Mark Ruffalo. I just adore him. The man, the myth, the legend. Jeff Goldblum... I've had the hots for him since Earth Girls Are Easy. There's just something about him. Idris.... Idris.. that man should be illegal. I've actually never been a huge Chris Hemsworth girl, yeah, I appreciate the work he's put in and it REALLY shows. I'm a dark hair lover. Preferably light eyes. The director of movie and voice of Korg, Taika Waititi is another dark horse for me. Between his and Karl Urban's Kiwi accent I damn near overloaded on this one. I can tell you every single actor that has been in the MCU are some of my biggest crushes of all time, yes, RDJ I'm looking at you. It's crazy if you sit back and look at it. Ok. That is all. 🤪🤣🤣🤣

Rowan

Point Break is a movie from the early 90s with Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. Thor resembles the Patrick Swayze character. Great movie, you should give it a try.

Solomon

Mark Mothersbaugh did the music, he's the lead singer of Devo

Jeffrey Paradysz

This is my favorite MCU movie. The one I've watched the most.

Charles Allen

In Norse mythology, Ragnarok is a prophesied series of events that bring about the end of the world. This cataclysmic battle begins with Loki’s betrayal of the gods, igniting a war between the Gods and formidable forces such as giants and monstrous creatures. The conflict leads to the deaths of many major gods, including Odin, Thor, and Loki himself. However, Ragnarok is not merely a tale of destruction—it also signifies renewal. After the chaos, the world is destined to be reborn, repopulated by surviving humans, while the children of Thor and Odin rise as the new rulers of Asgard, ushering in a new age. While the MCU’s version of Ragnarok differs in many ways, it retains the central theme of destruction paving the way for rebirth.

Jake Sisk

In Norse mythology, Hela (or Hel) is the goddess of the underworld and death. Her role is to collect the souls of those who did not die a courageous or glorious death—a duty reserved for the Valkyries, who guide fallen warriors to Valhalla. She is often depicted with one side of her face as beautiful and the other as a decaying corpse, symbolizing her connection to both life and death. Unlike in Thor: Ragnarok, she is not Odin’s daughter but the child of Loki and the giantess Angrboda. She is also the sister of Fenrir, the mighty wolf who, in the film, battles the Hulk, and Jörmungandr, the massive serpent so large it encircles the world and bites its own tail.

Jake Sisk

Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie is an absolute badass! Her character is inspired by the Norse mythological figure Brunnhilde, one of the legendary Valkyries—fierce warrior maidens tasked with selecting the bravest fallen soldiers and guiding them to Valhalla in preparation for Ragnarok. In mythology, Brunnhilde’s tale is one of betrayal and tragedy, ending in sorrow. However, the MCU’s Valkyrie follows a different path, finding redemption and purpose as she fights for Asgard’s future rather than being consumed by vengeance.

Jake Sisk

Valkyrie was a badass in the Marvel comics, too. Since Valkyrie is technically a title, her name in the comics was Brunnhilde, although most of her teammates just called her Valkyrie, or Hawkeye liked to call her Val. In the MCU I think they just continue to call her Valkyrie. In Norse mythology, the Valkyries rode flying horses so that they could hover above battlefields and choose the best of the slain warriors to escort to Valhalla, the Norse version of heaven. Some scholars believe the winged horses ridden by Valkyries are indeed inspired by the Greek mythological figure of Pegasus. Greeks and Vikings interacted through trade and travel, so they probably had some influence on each other's cultures. Next up, Black Panther, which I think has some of the best world building in the MCU, then ... Infinity War, and you'll find out what that post credit scene meant.

Thaddeus Winterson

Anyone else notice Amber swooning, panting a bit and trying to compose herself when Thor had his shirt off with Hulk in the tub? lol. Chris Hemsworth has that effect. Yes, that's Idris Elba playing Heimdal. And Cate Blanchett who plays Hela is an incredible Oscar winning actress. And Jeff Goldblum is a national treasure. Just watch any interview he's every done. I wanna have a beer with him lol.

The Mad Icelander

Also a request, whenever u feel like doing other movies again, could you do "Scarface". It is a classic, it's wild and a fan fave.

Drewcliff82

Idk why people keep saying Infinty Wars is next. 🤦‍♂️ One of these times she's gonna get confused and go out of order lol. I know she probably wouldn't do that bit still lol.

Drewcliff82

Next is Black Panther, then Infinity War.

Drewcliff82

Beast. Only lost bc she's so powerful she couldn't imagine losing lol.

Drewcliff82

She must watch OG PB lol.

Drewcliff82

I'm a retired disabled veteran that's too lazy to read credits 😂🤣😅🤣😂😂 But you are right. Most everyone behind Marvel are genius. That's why it's so dam good lol.

Drewcliff82

Difference of this Thor for me is Taika Waititi wrote and directed. He has a very distinctive style, especially of comedy. You should watch his film Jojo Rabbit one day.

JD

💯

Drewcliff82

She really needs to just watch the OG Point Break lol.

Drewcliff82

She should just do the series in release order. Of she wanted to she could even do the seasons in release order. Moon Knight, Loki, Wadavision, Daredevil and Punisher are the most important I believe. I could be missing one or 2 tho. But yea I'm sure we'll get there when she finishes the movies.

Drewcliff82

Yea I'm pumped up for these next 2.🥳🥳🥳🥳

Drewcliff82

She's doing them in release order. She hasn't strayed from it yet.

Drewcliff82

Yea but just remember on top of these she's doing 4 shows plus other movies. She's trying to keep everyone happy by spreading it out but I wish she could just go with the flow and watch what she feels like. It's not like she's charging some big fee. $5 is cheap compared to other channels. And hers is better than the majority of them.

Drewcliff82

I wish we had memes on here 😂😂😂"Dun dun duuuunnnn!!!!!"

Drewcliff82

Man this was awesome. My favorites have changed over the years. Back in the day my top 3 woulda been Civil War, Winter Soldier and GOTG. Now many (way too many) years later I would say now this one is my favorite to this point. This is imo the best version of Hulk we've seen up to this point and him and Thor together is perfection lol. Hella was one of the most powerful entities in the galaxy and only lost bc Thor tricked her with Loki's help. If they hadn't done that who knows how far she would have went but I'm pretty certain Earth would been toast. I'm surprised there aren't more comments about Valkyrie lol. She's an absolute badass forsure. Then my next 2 are GOTG and Doc Strange. Up next is Black Panther then on to Infinity Wars. I hope your strapped in Amber. 🤙

Drewcliff82

I love the Matt Damon cameo. The two are really good friends and vacation together a lot in real life so It was super cute that he got him to come play fake Loki. Also, Cate Blanchett is awesome - what a coup to get her for this role. Loki - I have had a weird crush on him since day one. It makes no sense, but he has rizz, as the kids say.

Mary Merry Berry

Holy Crap! Clancy Brown from Shawhank and Carnivale is Mr Krabs?!?! WHAT??? Mind blown!

Mary Merry Berry

Sir Anthony Hopkins showcases a greater range in Thor: Ragnarok than in his previous Marvel appearances, particularly in a standout scene where he portrays Loki impersonating Odin—a moment that highlights his comedic flair and enjoyment in the role. The film also delves into a more vulnerable side of Odin, adding emotional depth and complexity to Hopkins' performance.

Jake Sisk

Thor: Ragnarok is my favorite Thor movie, seamlessly blending humor, action, and heart while giving the character a fresh, exhilarating direction. His dynamic with Hulk is pure genius, delivering hilarious moments that elevate the story.

Jake Sisk

A big ass ship comes into view in front of the Asgard ship You say: who is this? We say: WAIT. AND. SEE One more movie Amber!

Karl Kraus

*Amber* "Who is she? Is she bad or is she good? She keeps shocking him, so I don't think she's good." *Me* "No, Amber. She's the BEST!" ;)

William

It’s awesome that you’re going through these films so quickly! Since you’re new to the MCU, it’s a perfect opportunity to binge-watch and get up to speed with both the movies and the shows. Sure, the journey might get a little chaotic, but many of the films make it all worthwhile.

Jason Johnson

WandaVision should be first, so all the references won't be missed.

Tray-T

Great movie. I thought that we would hit Black Panther before this one, so this one would go straight into Infinity War, but a great watch anyway.

Tray-T

The LOKI series is very important for the MCU in the future.

Ron Shimon

🖥👀😯🤯 Great Reaction even catching the Dallas Cowboys football team players from Texas reference "DezTroy" (Dez Bryant & Troy Aikman) where other reactors fail.🏆👏🏾 Black Panther is next!!!🥳🎉🎊😍👍🏾🥰🏆👏🏾

K Dub

Since you were interested with the themes of Doctor Strange I think you would enjoy a Marvel series called Moon Knight. It's kind of the Marvel equivalent of Batman with elements of Egyptian culture.

superswingman24

Last comment, only because I'm surprised no one's mentioned it yet. Korg has a New Zealand accent as he is voiced by none other than Taika Waititi, director of Ragnarok and the upcoming (in ithis rewatch) Love and Thunder.

pawpaw72546

Dang you just now realized that's Idris Elba 😂🤣😅🤣😂😂 It's all good. Happens to the best of us.

Drewcliff82

Please don’t skip Loki and WandaVision!!!!!! I think you’ll love both, I can’t wait 😆

Shaynge

Thor's voice activation password on the Quinjet was Point Break because there's a character in that movie who has long, blonde locks like Thor does, a surfer dude If you remember, Stark called him that name back in the first Avengers

Karl Kraus

Oh, and Thor flying in slow-mo at Hela's undead army on the Bifrost while lightning is crackling all around him and Immigrant Song is playing? Peak MCU.

pawpaw72546

So in the credits of every Marvel movie, you want to watch for the credit to the "Marvel Parliament", as well as the "With Special Thanks To" sections. Marvel has built an amazing roster of characters and told tremendous stories with them for over 60 years, and it's due to the blood, sweat, and toil of the people named in these sections. What would Marvel's Thor be without Walt Simonson? He defined the character for so long in the comics. What about John and Sal Buscema? Roy Thomas? Bill Mantlo? Marv Wolfman? Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, John Romita Jr., Jason Aaron (who is somehow NOT names here)...and the list goes on. Appreciate these people. These fantastic movies stand on their shoulders.

pawpaw72546

Wandavision is another Marvel series that is so creative. It leads into other Marvel movies and series. It follows Endgame and before the Loki series. Can't wait for the next few movies!

Valerie Boyco

Tony called Thor Point Break in The Avengers in reference to Patrick Swayze's character, Bodhe, in the movie Point Break.

Marty B

The "friend from work" line that Thor said was a suggestion from a child from Make-a-Wish that visited the set one day

Karl Kraus

Cate Blanchett is such a scene stealer!! Love her as Hela!

Richard C

The Grandmaster is Jeff Goldblum... you're welcome

Karl Kraus

This is one of my favorite MCU films. Absolutely LOVE the 80s vibes going on!

Molly Campbell

The Black Panther🔥🔥.. then Avengers infinity war.. Lordy that movie 🔥🔥🔥

Reggie Riobe

Tom Hiddleston as Loki is just the best MCU Character

Boerben

This leads directly into Infinity War. Prepare to get your mind blown.

DarrellWaller

I HAVE BEEN FALLING... FOR THIRTY MINUTES!!!!! One of my top 5 favorite lines in the MCU

Karl Kraus

Yes, that’s Idris Elba who plays Heimdal

Thomas Horton

Once you watch black panther, which is up next, you'll be trying your absolute hardest NOT to wait this long to wait (because of things beyond your control) watching the next movie because the next several are MEGA-IMPORTANT I hope they all have at most a wait period of two days instead of three/four

Karl Kraus

In the mythology Hela is the goddess of death and helheim but she is Loki's daughter and Fenrir's sister. Fenrir is the wolf.

Marty B

Karl Urban is Skurge (or Executioner) love him to bits. Loki is a twit but he's so damn cute. I went to Norway this past July. It was incredible.

Marty B

Oh yea. A true bro movie lol.

Drewcliff82

The Thor part of the franchise certainly needed a face-lift in quality and boy did this help! The comedy is excellent and the character development wasn't half bad either

Karl Kraus

The actor who voices Mr krabs in spongebob voices the demon Surtur, Clancy brown

Karl Kraus

This is my favorite Marvel film of all time! So excited! BTW the Grandmaster is a celestial and brother to the Collector you met in guardians of the galaxy. Also, Thor was formerly using the hammer to channel his abilities but he always had thunder and lightening powers it's just without the hammer he was desperate and learned to channel it through his body in this.

Melody Netherton

The actor in the play that you said looked like Thor is Hemsworth's brother in real life

Tony Bell

Odin actor; Sam Neill (Dr. Alan Grant from Jurassic Park). And (Gamemaster) Jeff Goldblum.... Malcolm, also from Jurassic Park. And when Odin passed, Thor became King. I believe.

Dale Sands

Oh the Loki actor in the play was Matt Damon 😂 just in case you didn’t notice haha

Ray H

It’s his older brother Luke Hemsworth I think that’s his name and Matt Damon is Loki if you have an already noticed

Thomas Horton

Perfect timing, just got home from work

Tony Bell

I love this movie

Thomas Horton

Haven't watched your reaction yet. I had previously predicted this would be your favorite MCU movie.

Bill Staley

I had a feeling a marvel movie was gonna drop! Very amazing! Thank you, Amber!
