I love Whitney Houston. A tragedy what happened to her. My late grandfather loved her, too. She had one of the best voices and was stunningly beautiful.

Also, I Have Nothing. You should react to the movie The Bodyguard with Whitney and Kevin Costner. She had a number of songs on the soundtrack and because she plays a superstar singer, she sings in the movie.

Her mom was Cissy Houston, her godmother was Aretha Franklin, and her cousin was Dionne Warwick. Whitney Houston was undeniably one of the greatest singers of all time. Her voice was pure, powerful, and effortless, she had a once-in-a-lifetime talent. I highly recommend Queen of the Night by Whitney Houston.

It also made me think that if she had only had the care for herself that she's singing about she might have been able to overcome her battles and internal demons and she would still be with us.

THIS was a strong part of what I was hearing as I turned into my teens in the early 80s, and there was SO much more back then. So much music that was made to make you feel good. Just listen to those lyrics, the uplifting key changes, and just the overall mood of the music then. Life goes on and music and art change with the culture, but holy sh*t, I am SO glad these were my formative years musically. Love your reactions, Amber. You totally feel it and it shows. I'm sure that's why most of us love your channel. Cheers!
