Tarzan has the most movies of any character ever. Not sure if he's considered a superhero though...lol

2025-07-05 23:20:56 +0000 UTCAmber, you should insert one other movie that would enhance your appreciation of Andrew Garfield. Before you watch the next Spider-Man, you should watch “Hacksaw Ridge”. It’s a war movie but the character Garfield plays in it is uplifting, rewarding, and many other adjectives. It became one of my favorite movies instantly! It is an epic story and it’s true! It’s very emotional on the extreme also. Peace and Love Gary

2025-03-12 23:40:45 +0000 UTCAfter Spiderman 3 there was supposed to be a Spiderman 4 but was scrapped because 3 didn't do very well at the box office. So Andrew Garfield's films were a reboot to the franchise and was supposed to have multiple sequels as well.

2025-03-12 18:20:38 +0000 UTCI absolutely love this version of spiderman too, Andrew Garfield did a really good job

2025-03-12 08:15:58 +0000 UTCYou talked about unwilling experiments on humans, so I have a song recommendation. It won't make a good reaction video because the song is only 37 seconds long, but it says a lot in that amount of time. It's "Tuskegee 626" by Gil Scott-Heron, an artist you should definitely know about

2025-03-12 06:50:06 +0000 UTCSo there are different spider-man movies for the purpose of understanding the multi-verse which will be used later on. It's kind of a cool concept, different versions of spiderman exist.
Jeneille Roodal
2025-03-12 05:58:22 +0000 UTCGwen Stacy was the first love. Even though MJ did appear first in the comics. He didn't get with her till later.

2025-03-12 05:01:44 +0000 UTCI think there are so many Spider-Man movies and shows just because he is pretty much Marvel's premiere character, right up there alongside Superman and Batman for DC. In fact, when Stan Lee was thinking up the idea for Spider-Man, he had Superman in mind with the super strength, super speed and original appearance with glasses in his secret identity. But then he combined those ideas with an old pulp fiction and radio character called the Spider, Master of Men. The Spider was a black-cloaked character who used guns to fight villains, and he later inspired the alternate universe Spider-Man known as Spider-Man Noir, seen in the first Spiderverse movie, voiced by Nicolas Cage. Just FYI, I believe Uncle Ben and Peter's dad are brothers, hence everybody's a Parker.

2025-03-12 03:58:10 +0000 UTCYes, that's Sally Field, and you've seen Andrew Garfield in Hacksaw Ridge. He's one on my favorite actors. He's my favorite Spider-Man!

2025-03-12 03:23:02 +0000 UTCHarry Osborn has also been Hobgoblin, like an Ultimate Spider-Man.

2025-03-12 03:22:07 +0000 UTCWhile I am not a big fan of these 2 Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies personally, Sony did one thing right in trying to reintroduce Peter's origin story. That is bringing back the web shooters. In the Toby McGuire Spider-Man, when he was learning to shoot his webs, it was when he curled his middle and ring finger into his palm that his webs shot out. The web shooters actuators were in his palm and he used his middle and ring fingers to control the type and length of web he fired. The Tom Holland movies are the closest to the comics. Peter being the super smart chemistry student developed the formula for his webs carried in little tanks on his wrist. At times, he ran out of web.
Steven Costa
2025-03-12 03:21:02 +0000 UTCHarry followed in his fathers footsteps to be Green Goblin. Hobgoblin came out later in the comics, First was Jason Philips and later it was Peter's friend Ned Leeds who was brainwashed into being Hobgoblin.
Steven Costa
2025-03-12 03:14:46 +0000 UTCAndrew Garfield also starred in a little war movie you loved called, "Hacksaw Ridge".
Tim
2025-03-12 02:46:23 +0000 UTCGwen Stacy was Spider-man's original love interest for the first several years of the characters existence. Uncle Ben is Peter's father (Richard) older brother.
Tim
2025-03-12 02:45:40 +0000 UTCThis is a more realistic vision of Spider-man, less camp than the Raimi films and less spectacle than the MCU ones.
Tim
2025-03-12 02:40:57 +0000 UTCMJ in the Tom Hollands movies is Michelle Jones, not Mary Jane. I believe Spider-Man's first love interest in the comics was Gwen Stacy who is Spider-Gwen in some of the universes. In the comics the webs are from the device, & aren't natural. Doc Ock, Mysterio, the Lizard, Venom, Sandman, & Vulture have been around for a long time in the comics. The Shocker also made an appearance in Spider-Man Homecoming, but just barely. I know you watch some of the animated series with your son(s?), so watch some of the others and you will see these characters. Miles Morales's uncle, Aaron, also made an appearance in Homecoming. He referenced not wanting guns in the city cuz he had a nephew. BTW, Green Goblin came first, then Hobgoblin. They've never used the name Hobgoblin in a movie though, so I'm not sure if that's who Harry was or not. I like all 3: Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland. They each bring something a little bit different, and I can rewatch most of these movies at any time. (SM3 kinda sucked, but even it has some good stuff in it)

2025-03-12 01:09:03 +0000 UTCTons of Godzilla movies...going all the way back to the Creature Double Feature days of the 70s, but Godzilla Plus One--one of the most recent ones--is fantastic!

2025-03-12 01:07:05 +0000 UTCIn the comics Dr. Strange discusses certain things that are fixed moments in time that cannot be changed. Uncle Ben's death is one of those because it changes Peter forever. I always thought in Tom Holland's Spiderman when he says someting like "when bad things happen and you can do something but you don't those things happen because of you" I always took that as him talking about Uncle Ben even though we don't see anything about him in that version. I think that that's the lesson Peter took from that incident if that makes sense.

2025-03-12 00:35:10 +0000 UTCYes, that was the amazing Sally Field and Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben. Martin Sheen is the father of Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez.
The Mad Icelander
2025-03-12 00:19:28 +0000 UTC1st supervillain was the Chameleon then Vulture, Doc Ock, Sandman, DR. Doom, then Lizardman.

2025-03-11 23:48:35 +0000 UTCRhys Ifans (Curt Connors) is a great Welsh actor--and fellow countryman of Iwan Rheon who played Ramsey Snow (Bolton) in GoT. He's in--amongst other things--The Replacements (w/ Keanu Reeves) as well as House of the Dragon, the GoT prequel.

2025-03-11 23:45:23 +0000 UTCAmber, you're correct- Aunt May is portrayed by Sally Field.

2025-03-11 23:23:57 +0000 UTCThe reason there are so many spiderman's is a bit complicated but basically a lot of Marvel propertys were sold off when comic sales started dropping off. Spiderman was sold to sony or fox I forget and they made thier own spiderman movies. That's also why you don't see any x-men characters in marvel at first they were owned by other companies . They had to slowly buy back thier own characters a bit at a time as the films made money. Interesting enough a similar thing happened with the rights to the beatles music. Thier music has been owned by everyone from corperations to Michel Jackson at one point.

2025-03-11 23:17:28 +0000 UTCAndrew Garfield performed many of his own stunts to make Spider-Man’s movements feel more natural and realistic.

2025-03-11 23:11:29 +0000 UTCThis is a full reboot but closer to comics. That's why you don't have Mary Jane has the girl Mary Jane actually was like his 3 maybe 4th girlfriend in the comics. This was Sony's 2nd chance to have a Working Spiderman movies. The first 3 by the end the you had popularity decline actors not wanting to do more so they scrapped a 4th. They waited 10 years then these came out trying to bring spidey back for Sony or possibly lose the IP to marvel

2025-03-11 23:03:24 +0000 UTCWhenrshe needs a new show I'd love for her to do the old Batman adventures. It's peak batman. Then some of the movies and suicide squad for sure! I feel like she would love Harley!

2025-03-11 22:59:05 +0000 UTCAndrew Garfield is my favorite Spiderman. I love these 2 movies.

2025-03-11 22:44:21 +0000 UTCSorry I’m commenting so much. I just wanna say the part of Spiderman’s story where Peter lets a criminal go because of his ego and the criminal kills Uncle Ben is VERY important to spiderman’s story. It is the core of his character actually because it is what drives home the entire meaning behind “With great power comes great responsibility”. Peter had the power to stop the robber but he felt like it wasn’t his “responsibility” and as a result the consequence fell onto him. That’s when he realizes that if you can help, regardless of it it’s directly helping yourself, you should always help.

2025-03-11 22:26:20 +0000 UTCI don’t believe she has but not sure. That would be a great reaction after the MCU
The Mad Icelander
2025-03-11 22:19:18 +0000 UTCThe Amazing Spider-Man took several key elements from early Spider-Man comics, particularly from Stan Lee and Steve Ditko’s original run in the 1960s, reintroducing mechanical web shooters to highlight Peter’s intellect and ingenuity. It remained faithful to the source material by making Gwen Stacy his first love interest and featuring Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard, who debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man #6 (1963). The film also captured Peter’s scientific mind, sharp wit, and Ditko-inspired suit design, with its lean build and larger eyes.

2025-03-11 22:18:57 +0000 UTCYea, I wanna say it’s batman for movies and superman for tv. Idk I saw some chart about exactly this the other day

2025-03-11 22:13:03 +0000 UTCSurely, Batman or Superman must have the most adaptations. Would love it if Amber would react to DC next.

2025-03-11 22:09:57 +0000 UTCMary Jane is the more famous Spider-Man love interest, yes, but Gwen Stacy was another love interest in the comics. Sometimes we have more than just one love interest in life as I’m sure you’d agree 🙂
The Mad Icelander
2025-03-11 22:07:29 +0000 UTCThere’s been a lot of Spider-Man, Superman, and Batman actors. A few Wonder Woman. But otherwise, mostly just one of each. X-Men has gone through two castings. Likely a third coming with mutants coming into the Marvel fold .
Just Dave
2025-03-11 22:01:27 +0000 UTCPeter has had a LOT of love interests. MJ became his wife in later years but Gwen is a huge romance in Peter’s story and her death (only saying this because I know you’ve already seem the second one) is pivotal to his character arc in the comics. But yea Peter may be a shy nerdy type but he’s actually kind of a ladies man in the comics in an unexpected way lol

2025-03-11 21:49:15 +0000 UTCSo, the original Spider-Man trilogy was made before the MCU was a thing. When The Amazing Spider-Man was first pitched it was initially supposed to be part of the MCU, but Sony kept playing games with Marvel Studios, and ultimately decided to move forward without Marvel Studios. A couple years later, Marvel Studios approached Sony again and Sony was in a lot worse shape financially at this point, and they still are to be honest. But they finally agreed to allow Marvel Studios the rights to incorporate Spider-Man into the MCU. So that's how you get Tom Hollands Spider-Man.

2025-03-11 21:45:00 +0000 UTCI would love a commentary to easy A and idk if you’ve seen pitch perfect but if you have it would be a great commentary and if you haven’t it would be a great reaction

2025-03-11 21:42:46 +0000 UTCWhile I prefer Tobey Maguire's shy and awkward Peter Parker, I am more drawn to Andrew Garfield's version of Spider-Man. Garfield brings a quick-witted, fast-talking energy that perfectly captures Spider-Man’s trademark humor and confidence.
Jake Sisk
2025-03-11 21:34:33 +0000 UTC“No other superheroes has this many adaptations of them right?” LOL, absolutely there are plenty Amber. Tbf as far as Marvel movies go I think the Hulk is the only other one with this many popular adaptations. But in DC comics? There are so many different batmans and supermans it makes the three spidermans look like a joke

2025-03-11 21:26:13 +0000 UTCAmber I am glad you decided to watch The Amazing Spider-Man movies. Imo, Andrew Garfield is the best Spider-Man & it isn't close. His mannerisms and his brash mouth are on point. I'm also w/ you on the suit. The MCU made it too much about Tony Stark !
orlandoJ21
2025-03-11 21:23:38 +0000 UTCYou'll find out more when you watch Spiderman: No Way Home. The pieces will fall into place. Tony Stark went to Peter's apt. 6 mos. after he was bit in the Tom Holland movies. Spiderman & The "Amazing" Spiderman aren't the same comics or movies.
Dale Sands
2025-03-11 21:13:20 +0000 UTCIn the comic books, his web shooters are man-made - by Peter, himself. Nobody knows why Sam Raimi changed it for the Tobey Maguire movies. LOL

2025-03-11 20:56:41 +0000 UTCGwen was actually Peters love interest in the comics before MJ

2025-03-11 20:54:40 +0000 UTCHistorically there are comic readers and non-comics readers. Movies based on comics have focused on the heroes everyone knows: Dick Tracy, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman. Notice that none of these are Marvel properties. There was only one well-known Marvel character by the non-comic reading public and that was Spider-man. Before "Superman" was made in 1978 Hollywood did not take the genre seriously. There was no belief that these could be big successful films. Attempts to use the Spider-Man character were limited to weak animated shows. Stan Lee was not happy. When Superman 3 died at the box office Hollywood again backed away from superheroes. Starting in 2000 20th Century Fox began releasing one of Marvel's cult favorites, XMen. Soon after Columbia was releasing Spider-Man, the most famous Marvel hero. These were real films by real Hollywood companies and were real successes, but Stan Lee was still not entirely happy. The problem was that none of these, as good as they were, fully met the expectations of the comic readers, the core of Marvel's fans. That's why Marvel spun up their own film studio and made "Iron Man". Everything from then on was to be controlled by them. Since the rights to Spider-Man did not belong to Marvel Studios they had to bide their time while all these films were made. So you get a lot of actors and a lot of stories being told. Marvel of course knows how to make lemonade. You'll see how they did this with the proliferation of Spidey films eventually.

2025-03-11 20:19:46 +0000 UTCBatman probably has more versions than Spiderman Id imagine. Please watch The Dark Knight Trilogy and The Batman! In that order :))

2025-03-11 20:00:24 +0000 UTCI do enjoy the interest in “modernizing” characters that have been around for decades or putting a new interpretation of them out there for the world to consume. It’s one of the most unique things about comic book characters, in print or on screen. James Bond is the only non-comic book fictional character I can think of that gets the same treatment
Ben Martin
2025-03-11 19:57:49 +0000 UTCBatman, Superman & Spiderman probably are the most popular comic book characters of all time, which is why they have the most adaptations.
