Have no idea what you're talking about. The only XTC I know is the drug and the rap crew of the 90s. Haven't been keeping up with the England Metal/Rock scene much since the 2010s. But, KMFDM is a beast band though!

2025-03-20 15:21:52 +0000 UTCThis is a darker song by them and definitely one of my favorites. Thank the powers that be that we still have Dave. Would love some more Cure as well, “disintegration” is such a wonderful song

2025-03-17 14:54:18 +0000 UTCDP has a helluva catalogue to choose from. I'm sure you'll find all the standards, and gems not heard on the radio. That's what I really loved about music of the GenX era. The radio would just smash and smash and smash what the label sent out; then....you get into the tracks and find a gem that should be on the radio but isn't. But live, BOOYAHKAH! Now, with that said, here's another great band, Amber. You're going to connect with them right off of the bat. This is their latest and ma'am. Once you hear this, you're going to do the same as you're doing with DP. A little intro to Sleep Token's "Vessel". Sleep Token's lead singer is known by the moniker "Vessel." The band, formed in London in 2016, has maintained a strong commitment to anonymity, with all members performing masked and cloaked to obscure their identities. As for his voice, wow....takes a lot to impress me and Vessel does just that. Another thing that's great about this song is the time signature changes. I really hope you take the time to react to them....the chorus is going to be incredible to experience live! I give you, Sleep Token - Emergence just released already about to break 2 million views on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJpFTUP6fIo Enjoy, SGT Rock

2025-03-15 06:51:39 +0000 UTCIf I could, I'd love to recommend some songs from Rush. They're an AMAZING band that started in the 70's, and became very popular in the early 80's. Some songs to check out: Working Man Xanadu (although, the live version from 1981 in Montreal is even better, and quite possibly the best live performance I've seen) The Trees The Spirit of Radio Freewill Tom Sawyer Red Barchetta YYZ Limelight The Camera Eye Vital Signs Subdivisions The Analog Kid I'd really think you'd love them.

2025-03-15 06:31:05 +0000 UTCI've seen DM live before in 1992 for their songs of faith and devotion tour and it was so good it remained my fav concert of all time until I saw Rob Zombie at Ozzfest in the early 2000s. Rob Zombie puts on the best show ever. I loved him in concert. It was super fun and very theatrical 😃❤️

2025-03-15 06:26:00 +0000 UTCI think I've seen them live more than any other band. Just love their dark, sexy, luscious, slightly dangerous sound and themes. One of those bands that I can spend a whole day listening to their catalog. It is a different sort of trip. For me it's a poppy delirium, enhanced by a massive wave of masculine pheromones, especially live. Dave's stage presence in particular is deliciously overwhelming. Quite an experience being pressed against the stage and have him shake the sweat out of his hair. That's just the honest, lurid truth💥😳🤯🫠🔥

2025-03-15 01:20:17 +0000 UTCThey are my desert island band. Driving is therapeutic for me. Spent many a night driving and listening to Depeche Mode. Also Joy Division/New Order, Portishead and The Smiths.

2025-03-15 01:20:01 +0000 UTCAmber! Depeche has been my favorite band since I was 12 years old. I turned 54 years old two months ago. Lol. I don't think I have ever hit PLAY faster than I did when this popped up. The amazing backing vocals you mentioned are sung by band member, and the genius human who writes 99% of DM songs, Martin Gore. He does take lead singer on a few tracks. His voice is hauntingly beautiful. May I suggest the song "Home". His voice will send you floating and the song itself is achingly beautiful.
