2025-03-19 17:38:20 +0000 UTCYes. George Michael tried and lost. Called it slavery and tried like hell...I wish Prince had gone first. He opened it up for more to follow. Being the trailblazer didn't work out in the end for George. He started spiraling around that time. He lost the Sony case, lost his first love to a brain hemorrhage and his mother to skin cancer all within a couple of years. Broke my heart.

2025-03-16 02:56:17 +0000 UTCOf all the perfomers lost from my teenage and young adult years, Michael, Whitney, Kurt Cobain, Layne Staley, Prince's death hit me hardest.

2025-03-15 23:33:37 +0000 UTCBest SB halftime show.

2025-03-15 23:15:24 +0000 UTCI adore Prince, such stage presence, I’m glad you’re back to doing music reactions. Please please please do a Muse reaction! Their live stuff is best, I’d recommend Knights of Cydonia, live at Rome Olympic stadium. Just fun, bonkers rock.

2025-03-15 22:58:58 +0000 UTCAt that time Prince was having a contract issue with his record label Warner Bros. so to circumvent the contract and allow himself the freedom to produce his music his way, he changed his named to an unpronounceable name. It was Genius!!!!

2025-03-15 22:14:50 +0000 UTCI remember watching this live when it aired and I also got super emotional. I still do every time I see it. It is by far my favorite half time show.

2025-03-15 22:08:24 +0000 UTCWith all due respect, the executive producer called Prince before the performance started and had that conversation. Please watch this clip, https://youtu.be/g6VI7_VCO40?si=UWzj-Hbm-6D9JcAB

2025-03-15 22:06:12 +0000 UTCAmber, I have the same reaction to Prince's Halftime performance each time I watch it and I have probably seen it more than 100 times!!! The Marching band is Florida A&M. Without question, the Greatest Halftime Show at the Super Bowl and one of the Greatest Live Performances of All Time. No lip syncing, no huge choreographed routines, no pretense, and God provided the special effects!!!!! He was not even promoting himself, he played mostly covers.......he just wanted to play music that he loved!! NFL Films made a video of the performance which is in this link, https://youtu.be/g6VI7_VCO40?si=UWzj-Hbm-6D9JcAB Prince was informed that as the Halftime Performer he would have to attend a press conference on February 1st 2007. Prince told Don Mischer, the Executive Producer for the Super Bowl that year, that he was not interested in doing a press conference but Mischer informed him it was part of the gig so Prince being Prince told him that he would play for the press instead and Mischer said that was fine. At the press conference Don Mischer introduced Prince and this happen.......https://youtu.be/LjxHZ5Od7zs?si=Xj6mUAZ5ZbIosssV

2025-03-15 21:02:03 +0000 UTCYou should also do Michael Jackson's halftime from 1991 I think.

2025-03-15 20:55:47 +0000 UTCAfter the performance someone told Prince they were sorry his performance was rained on. Prince replied, "I wish it had rained harder".

2025-03-15 15:44:34 +0000 UTCAmber you definitely need to do a reaction to the movie Purple Rain ☔️

2025-03-15 13:10:23 +0000 UTCThe greatest compliment I can give is that Prince took a stadium full of football fans and by the end of a 12 minute performance had turned the stadium into a Prince concert…..he was and is the GOAT 💜💜

2025-03-15 06:50:45 +0000 UTCHelluva show. Miss him like crazy! 💔🥲

2025-03-15 05:01:25 +0000 UTCSoul impactful performance... I was honored to have seen this man perform live several times and I love his Purple Rain Tour, but his Sign of the Times tour changed me... kissed by a higher power.

2025-03-15 03:43:03 +0000 UTCIMHO the greatest half time show ever, and I've been watching since the 70s!

2025-03-15 02:55:26 +0000 UTCThat sheet was so simple but so damn effective. The rain made it so much more precious. He risked his life for that performance. He could have been electrocuted. THAT is a true performer.

2025-03-15 02:51:30 +0000 UTCStill the greatest Superbowl performance ever.

2025-03-15 02:40:55 +0000 UTCWhich for soooo confusing! Especially when he went back to Prince. 🤣

2025-03-15 02:40:11 +0000 UTCOk. You're now able to take a couple of Prince's more sexy songs. Darling Nikki and Pussy Control are it. I always requested those two at the clubs. Great dancing/grinding music. I miss this man. Lost 3 of my faves in one year. 2016 really sucked. Bowie, Prince then my personal fatal blow, George Michael. I still mourn George.
Rowan
2025-03-15 02:15:10 +0000 UTCThe greatest natural-born performer in history IMO. You are also due to react to the film Purple Rain, which is fun in so many ways, and his performance of While My Guitar Gently Weeps, alongside Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne, and George Harrison's son at the 2004 Rock n Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, which will forever change the way you hear that song.
Michael Kurl
2025-03-15 02:00:19 +0000 UTCThe Mclean twins in this video were dancers for him for 10 years until his death. They were awesome to watch.

2025-03-15 01:53:09 +0000 UTCThis was epic, check out Michael Jackson’s halftime performance also, if you haven’t already seen it. Also, I just commented on you YouTube reaction of “smells like teen spirit” and was saying how legendary Dave Grohl is, and here prince is covering one of his songs.

2025-03-15 01:47:43 +0000 UTCEpic... i dont think i noticed his guitar going out in the last 60 seconds... so much rain at the end... great reaction Amber... im one of those odd guys that was born wired more emotionally... and I was there with you... frankly... we miss him. I dont just miss the music... i miss the artist. I wont preach but state the obvious... drugs have robbed the world of far far far too many beautiful brilliant performers and talent. sigh.
Scott
2025-03-15 01:29:57 +0000 UTC20 times???? Jeezus lol you should play the lotto being that lucky

2025-03-15 01:20:46 +0000 UTCYou probably don't understand the significance of the stage design but, for a long while, Prince stopped using his stage name, changing his name to a symbol. The stage is that symbol. He was referred to as "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince."
Adrian Rhodes
2025-03-15 01:20:13 +0000 UTCPrince's half time consistently clocks in as the greatest ever. I was lucky enough to see him live over 20 times and he even invited me and a friend to many of his infamous after parties and after-shows. He's easily the greatest performer I've ever seen. Check out Purple Rain the movie now!! You'll love it

2025-03-15 01:03:24 +0000 UTCI completely forgot he had the band out there. Incredible show. Top 5 halftime shows for sure.
