Yes, Gwendoline Christie. She has a great laugh you'd never expect from someone that plays such serious characters. Brienne of Tarth and Captain Phasma.

2025-03-22 05:08:54 +0000 UTCI find it funny that Jon made friends with the dragon named after his real father. I'm pretty sure he was. Correct me if I'm wrong pls.
Rowan
2025-03-22 03:55:22 +0000 UTCThe absolute best combo is Brianne and Jamie. Can't remember real name off the top. They're absolutely hilarious anytime they get together. I would love for Amber to hear her rl laugh! It's the laugh of a woman who truly loves to laugh.
Rowan
2025-03-22 03:53:03 +0000 UTCDon't worry. Targaryens are good with marrying family members. It's part of their heritage.

2025-03-21 17:48:56 +0000 UTCYep I agree Amber, about Dani and Jon, "Noooo, pump the brakes", and I'd add, "pump the brakes, not each other!"

2025-03-19 05:00:12 +0000 UTCThe tradition amongst the Targaryens had always been to marry kin to kin. Wedding brother to sister was thought to be ideal. Failing that, a girl might wed an uncle, a cousin, or a nephew; a boy, a cousin, aunt, or niece. This practice went back to Old Valyria, where it was common amongst many of the ancient families, particularly those who bred and rode dragons. "The blood of the dragon must remain pure," the wisdom went. What an epic reaction once again to probably one of the best tv shows ever made. The Sansa turn, the Jon Dany relationship turn, the Cersei turn so many great moments!!

2025-03-18 01:17:41 +0000 UTCI think there’s a deleted scene that eludes to it by showing Bran, Sansa and Arya sitting together by a fire
Amanda Sargent
2025-03-18 00:38:06 +0000 UTCI’d say it’s 50/50 whether people get it after 6x10 or 7x7
Amanda Sargent
2025-03-18 00:37:00 +0000 UTCI second this - there’s no spoilers. The bad lip readings and honest trailers for GoT would make for great reactions, too.

2025-03-18 00:35:23 +0000 UTCThe moment I saw that you were doing Game of Thrones I thought "I can't wait until she sees season 7 episode 7 when Little Finger gets his and Jon Snow's true lineage is revealed. I knew it would blow her away(as it did to everybody).
Tom Castro
2025-03-18 00:07:31 +0000 UTCIt was, but she did miss the sansa's head turn to Littlefinger.

2025-03-17 20:58:30 +0000 UTCTotally agree!! The reaction once Amber realized what was actually going on was priceless!!

2025-03-17 20:14:41 +0000 UTCI think we had to wait two years for the next one!!! Right?

2025-03-17 13:58:10 +0000 UTCI knew I was going to love your reaction when Lord Baelish was exposed. You were sitting there talking all kinds of crap about Sansa (still not my favorite) and how Baelish is manipulative but the whole time they were manipulating him. "Sansa I knew I didn't like you" "What!?" "Sorry Sansa" Lol. I loved it.
Matthew Stewart
2025-03-17 13:38:48 +0000 UTCThis has always been my favorite death, and I feel so morbid saying that, but the little finger death scene from beginning to end was the most satisfying thing. 🤣

2025-03-17 13:28:02 +0000 UTCI gotta admit...I laughed my butt off when you said, "No wait! Pump the brakes!!!" I'm like...yea...incest?! Oh Game of Thrones would NEVER GO THERE!!!! LOLOLOLOLOL!!

2025-03-17 07:47:05 +0000 UTCAnd yet another easter egg...."The seed is Strong." Apparently, the Baratheon weren't the only ones to have a dominant/strong hair gene.

2025-03-17 04:59:22 +0000 UTCI have all 8 seasons on DVD and I love watching with the commentary. The actors that team up for commentary can be fun. Cersei and Tyrion did several commentary together because the actor are great friends in real life and share an apartment together when they a living over seas for filming. The same goes for the Stark children, Sansa and Arya. Every time I hear the intro music, I hear Sophie and Masie singing "death and boobies, death and boobies, death and boobies..."
Steven Costa
2025-03-17 04:46:25 +0000 UTCBtw guys. I love you! You did sooooooo good at trying to lead Amber off the scent last episode. You know who you are. MVP's!
Rowan
2025-03-17 04:22:04 +0000 UTCBut it is set in a time period similar to our own, the same as the Land is similar. There's an "Egypt", etc.

John Sheehan
2025-03-17 03:50:59 +0000 UTCI thought it made her reaction so much better. She's just bitching Sansa out and that slow awareness kicked in. It was prime!
Rowan
2025-03-17 03:48:32 +0000 UTCNot really. If you research it, that was quite common in that time period.
Rowan
2025-03-17 03:44:21 +0000 UTCOk Amber. Last time I ask you. Do you want to make changes to your guesses? I specifically asked you when you did so that you could mull it over once all the new pieces and info was on the board. So,I am again. Who will sit on the throne at the end? I've a feeling your answer may be different than before. 😁
Rowan
2025-03-17 03:43:13 +0000 UTCThere were hints to Jon's parentage, such as why would Ned Stark need to protect Jon if he was simply Ned's bastard. Instead, you knew Ned's belief, that Lyanna had been raped by Rhaegar -- which was a hint to Jon's actual parentage. So, yes, Jon is Dany's nephew, as Rhaegar is Dany's oldest brother. This also makes Jon the heir, as the oldest son of the oldest son (much like Prince William's children are the heirs before Prince Harry). As for the relationship between Jon and Dany, remember that the Targeryen's were known for incest.

2025-03-17 03:17:33 +0000 UTC28:50 "He's heading into the lion's den." VERY appropriate description of walking into any Lannister stronghold, even without the lion being their family emblem.

2025-03-17 01:04:58 +0000 UTCYeah that means Jon is Dany Nephew and the dragons are his first cousins technically that’s why Drogon allowed him to touch him.

2025-03-17 01:00:20 +0000 UTCWe'll take the small victories when it comes to the Targaryen family tree lol

2025-03-17 00:53:56 +0000 UTCWinter isn't coming. Winter. Is. Here.
pawpaw72546
2025-03-17 00:52:28 +0000 UTCI feel like the drama at Winterfell was really rushed through due to the shorter episode count, but I honestly feel like Sansa and Arya had met off screen and and planned to "go along" with Littlefinger's manipulations with the intent of snaring him and catching him in his lies. Sansa says she's slow to learn, but I fully believe that she had learned enough by the start of the season not to trust Littlefinger.
pawpaw72546
2025-03-17 00:51:46 +0000 UTCSo the story goes that when the showrunners first met with George R. R. Martin at lunch to discuss adapting the books into a series, the questions of Jon's heritage came up. George asked them who Jon's parents were, and they had correctly surmised that R + L = J. These were clues and was foreshadowing of this in the very first book. So for anyone who had read the books before or during the series airing, this had been a popular theory for quite sometime.

2025-03-17 00:49:43 +0000 UTCIs this not the best tv ever?
Stephen
2025-03-17 00:49:22 +0000 UTCRobert's whole rebellion was built on a lie, and it was an opportunity for people who (rightfully) wanted to be rid of the mad King. Jon Arryn was very opportunistic here in uniting the North and the Vale in Robert's rebellion. And Tywin of course benefited, once he saw which way the outcome was going to go.
pawpaw72546
2025-03-17 00:46:39 +0000 UTCAs soon as the insinuation that Arya wanted to be the Lady of Winterfell happened, Sansa knew what Littlefinger was trying to do. Sansa knows her sister never wanted to be a lady.

2025-03-17 00:44:42 +0000 UTCSeason 7 Episode 7 originally aired August 27, 2017. Season 8 Episode 1 originally aired April 14, 2019. So not quite two years -- 19.5 months was definitely long enough!

2025-03-17 00:43:53 +0000 UTCTheons story arc is one of my favorite things about the show.

2025-03-17 00:43:10 +0000 UTCAmber this episode: 🫢😧🤯 Me this espisode: 😬😂😂 Great reaction as always! Also love how your brain thought of Fourth Wing when you saw the Night King with the Ice Dragon. The scene where the captured wight comes out of the crate reminded me of the scene in Iron Flame when Violet is trying to secure the luminary from Tecarus and unleashes a captured Venin from the box.

2025-03-17 00:28:29 +0000 UTCQuestion: Did anyone figure out Jon's parentage and that he wasn't a bastard before this episode. I watched the show with a couple reacting to it and they took very detailed notes. When Gilly mentioned the annulment, the couple paused the show and went back through their notes and they figured it out.
Tara
2025-03-17 00:25:02 +0000 UTCLoved the reaction...especially to Littlefinger's trial--your reaction was no different that the rest of us! Shock and confusion turned suddenly into utter glee! Then...finding out who John REALLY is...then...the dead dragon taking down the wall!! Great episode, great reaction.

2025-03-17 00:15:00 +0000 UTCI have been waiting a looong time for this episode. Ever since you started asking when Little finger was going to die. I just said patience Amber, it's gonna be good. I hope you went back and watched again when Sansa called his name. Now that I've seen the show before, I saw everything that Sansa accused him of doing over the seasons starting in the pilot when crazy Aunt Lysa accused the Lannisters of Jon Arryn's death and what Bran said about holding a knife to Ned's neck. He did that right before Ned was imprisoned. I'm like you Amber. I was on the Jon and Dany train until I learned about Jon. Jon Snow... a Stark and a Targaryen... heir to the Iron Throne. I remember an easter egg in the season 5 episode "Kill the Boy" when Sam was talking about Dany to Maester Aemon in the library at the wall and Maester Aemon mentioned that she was the last Targaryen all alone and just then, Jon came in, that was when Maester Aemon said to kill the boy. It's interesting watching the scenes between Ned and Robert now when he talked about killing Dany because she was a Targaryen. Ned had to lie about Jon to protect him from Robert and the look on Ned's face now is fascinating.
Tara
2025-03-17 00:09:55 +0000 UTCNot the first to say it, but George R.R. Martin, the author of Game of Thrones, is a freaky deek. He seemed to be fixated on castration and incest throughout this story.
John Sheehan

2025-03-17 00:02:04 +0000 UTCPity isn't it that Robert spent 17 years mourning a woman who didn't love him, although the first episode when Robert and Ned were down in the crypt at Lyanna's statue Robert said she belonged to him which some people thought was sad, but to me it sounded more like he saw her as his possession so I honestly don't feel bad for Robert at all, I feel bad for Rhaegar's wife Elia and her children, Rhaegar ran off with another woman and left his wife and kids with his insane father and they paid the price for Rhaegar and Lyanna's love. And last now you know why Lyanna asked Ned to protect Jon cause if Robert knew about Jon he would have killed him or had him killed so Ned obviously said Jon was his bastard to protect him from Robert's wrath, lucky for Jon he got his looks from his mother's side and not his father's (silver hair would have been a dead giveaway).

2025-03-16 23:46:07 +0000 UTCRemember Rhaegar was Daenerys' much-older brother - a lot of us thought it was the same actor who played Viserys (bad brother) playing Rhaegar in the wedding scene; they just looked alot alike! So she's Jon's aunt - at least they're not siblings?? :D
Shari Todd
2025-03-16 23:45:18 +0000 UTCI was dying when Sansa made her accusation against LittleFinger because you were distracted and wasn't paying 100% attention!!!! I am guessing you are going to rewatch it just to make sure you are there in the moment!!!! Without a doubt, one of the best episodes of the whole series and so much to unpack!

2025-03-16 23:42:05 +0000 UTC☆☆*After* you are finished the series,☆☆ ... Could you possibly please react to the song/video/lyrics -Power is Power by SZA, The Weeknd & Travis Scott. If you do, DO NOT watch or listen to before seeing the ending of the series tho, as it shows massive spoiler shots from s8.

2025-03-16 23:32:27 +0000 UTCI don't believe his identity or heritage has ever been made explicit in the books. There's speculation, but nothing definitive.

2025-03-16 23:23:55 +0000 UTCAll right, we can finally talk about the elephant in the room after this one. Can't wait to see the reaction!

2025-03-16 23:10:18 +0000 UTCI have a question for ya’ll since she now knows what is going on. I never read the books and I don’t know who the Night King was before he was created by the children. Was he a Targaryen?

2025-03-16 22:52:22 +0000 UTCNah, Cersei made the correct decision strategically. Everything she said was straight facts. Ethically or honorably, not so much. Targaryens are known for keeping their bloodlines pure. Daenerys’ Mom was also her Dad’s sister. It’s all good for them. Not sure if Jon feels the same way but ignorance is bliss I guess 😂 fun reaction.
