"I know a Flurken when I see one!" lolol

Chris Orlando

I think Romulus should be next since it takes place between Alien and Aliens.

Mark Pickersgill

Finding moist, leathery extraterrestrial eggs surrounded by a reactive mist is a bad day at work.

Ryan Garcia

You can believe whatever you want to believe. I already explained my comment and I'm not interested in debating potential reasons why someone or a group of people would potentially perpetrate a hoax. As for the film, it's a decent and should be entertaining for anyone who enjoys the subject matter.

BRT

Their stories haven't changed for Decades. Why would they let it go on? And what would they gain? Ridicule? They've been Ridiculed for most of their lives. If you ever watched any of the Travis interviews, you can see the fear in his eyes everytime he tells his story.

Dale Sands

They claimed to have watched... It doesn't take a lot of deep dive research to learn that there has been a multitude of hoaxes over time which included collaborators. I'm not saying the Travis Walton case WAS a hoax, just that I'm not convinced that the account qualifies as objective fact.

BRT

The guy playing Ash was Bilbo Baggins in Lord of the Rings and the guy playing Dallas was Viper in Top Gun.

Jim Marion

When you have 5-6 other guys that actually WATCHED what happened, then yeah, I'd say it's true.

Dale Sands

Amber you need to react to the Wanda vision series before any other MCU film that comes up next, it’s needed for the later MCU films 👍

CloudyJ

Yes, and I think it's right up her alley too!!

Jayce

Interstellar is amazing!

Tristan O'Leary

Seconded! Good call

Tristan O'Leary

Amber this is one of your best reactions for sure! 👍🏼

roberto h.pilia

Not sure I believe it's a true abduction but it's a great film.

BRT

The 2004 Grudge is highly underrated👍

BRT

Those are great too, especially Trilogy🖤 Didn't realize they did Conjuring. Did Jordan even survive?!?

BRT

Aliens (the next one) is one of my fave movies of all time. For another movie that’s scary with less gore try The Grudge

Tristan O'Leary

Oh you want to be horrified? Like…legitimately horrified? Have you watched Hereditary yet? That movie will crawl under your skin like some kind of insect. It’s absolutely brutally scary.

Eric Smoak

If you haven't seen it already, another great movie of Ridley Scott is "Gladiator", w/Russell Crowe. Crowe won an "Oscar" for it. And it also won one for Best Picture 2001.

Dale Sands

Aliens and the Legendary Bill Paxton! With the most quoted improvised line in cinema! NO SPOILERS FOLKS! SHUSH NOW! You want a fun movie to do about space, Amber. Give Space Cowboys with LEGENDS, yes, I said, LEGENDS! Just look at this cast! And the soundtrack? Gah! What a soundtrack! Frankie "Blue Eyes" Sinatra, Paul Simon, and Nancy Wilson (Heart)....Both serious and comedic at points, this movie encompasses the military Veteran spirit! This would have been a popcorn and sweet tea movie with you and your pops! (God rest him!) Clint Eastwood as Frank Corvin, a retired Air Force pilot and engineer. Tommy Lee Jones as Hawk Hawkins, a daring test pilot and Corvin's friend. Donald Sutherland as Jerry O'Neill, a charming structural engineer. James Garner as Tank Sullivan, a former navigator turned Baptist minister. Marcia Gay Harden as Sara Holland, a NASA engineer and Hawk's love interest. William Devane as Eugene "Gene" Davis, a NASA flight director. Loren Dean as Ethan Glance, a young NASA engineer. Courtney B. Vance as Roger Hines, a NASA official. James Cromwell as Bob Gerson, a senior NASA manager.

SERGEANT ROCK

Pssst...you forgot Tales from the Crypt and Trilogy of Terror. 🤘🤣 I would like to see her do The Conjuring again solo!

SERGEANT ROCK

Amber please do the Wanda vision series before doing any other MCU films, it’s amazing and needed for the mcu

CloudyJ

Haven't seen this cut in a long time. Definitely enjoyed the slow burn. 28:45 is as far as I would go. "Signal investigated as per contract. Emitting from an apparently defunct alien craft. Advise further study and exploration by a specialized, properly qualified and equipped team." 🫡 Not sure what you're going to find REALLY scary. Mix of Horror and others I'd like to see you do: Rebecca - 1940 (Hitchcock/Gothic Mystery) War of the Worlds - 1953 (SciFi Classic) Straight Jacket - 1964 (Mystery/Thriller/Campy) Rosemary's Baby - 1969 (Supernatural/mystery/thriller) Paper Moon - 1973 (Period/Comedy/Drama) Creepshow - 1982 (S.King/Horror/Dark Humor) The Believers - 1987 (Supernatural/Horror) Pumpkinhead - 1988 (Supernatural/Horror) Silence of the Lambs - 1991 (Horror/Mystery) Ed Wood - 1994 (Biography/Dark Comedy/Drama) Village of the Damned - 1995 (SciFi/Horror) Delores Claiborne - 1995 (S.King/ Drama/Mystery) Elizabeth - 1998 (Historical/Drama) Practical Magic - 1998 (Witches/mystery/RomCom) Ravenous - 1999 (Period/Horror) The Red Violin - 1999 (Mystery) What Lies Beneath - 2000 (Supernatural/mystery/thriller) The Gift - 2000 (Mystery/Murder/Thriller) The Ninth Gate - 2000 (Supernatural/Mystery/Thriller) The Mothman Prophesies - 2002 (Horror/Mystery) The Missing - 2003 (Old West/Thriller) The Grudge - 2004 (Supernatural/Horror) The Hills Have Eyes - 2006 (Horror) Marie Antoinette - 2006 (Historical/Humor/Drama) Death Proof - 2007 (Horror/Action) Drag Me To Hell (theatrical release) - 2009 (Suprrnatural/horror/thriller/dark humor) The Conjuring - 2013 (Supernatural/Horror) Wild - 2014 (Adventure/Female Empowerment) The Witch - 2016 (Supernatural/folk horror) Talk to Me - 2022/23 (Supernatural/Horror)

BRT

I love watching your reactions to movies and music in general. Your'e so emotional and get wrapped up in whatever your doing. I love that. I true reaction

Robert Lopez

lol not a flurking

shutterbot

Can't wait for Aliens. As great of a suspense the original is, James Cameron kicked up the action in the sequel. Aliens 3? Not really worth it. And Amber, remember the diner scene in Spaceballs? That was the same actor, which is why he said "not again" before the Alien popped out and did its Michigan J. Frog impression.

Jon

Alien 2 betters the original IMHO

Parallel Parker

Cats are very emotional and soulful creatures. You just never met the right one. I know a couple of “dog persons” whose hearts have been captured.

Parallel Parker

Capt Dallas was played by Tom Skerritt. You saw him in Top Gun, he was the instructor, and you saw him in Steel Magnolias, he was the Dad. You should check out "Interstellar". You will love that one too.

Jayce

The cat was in cryo with one of the crew

shutterbot

Another must-watch from Ridley Scott’s legacy Blade Runner: Final Cut, a visually stunning, thought-provoking sci-fi masterpiece.

Jake Sisk

Alien is a masterpiece of sci-fi horror, seamlessly blending suspense, terror, and stunning craftsmanship. It set the gold standard for space horror, and its atmosphere, tension, and creature design remain just as chilling today. A true testament to its groundbreaking impact. In space, no one can hear you scream.

Jake Sisk

And check out Jason. To make her way to Freddy vs Jason 🔥🔥🔥

Reggie Riobe

Cool she can start from part 2 if she’d like

Reggie Riobe

was thinking the same thing about smoking in space...how the hell did THAT work??? It's been so, so long since

Marc Lamoureux

The sequel, Aliens, is even better than the original due to James Cameron directing (He had just made Terminator, and then Aliens really put him on the map and his career as a director really took off from there). The interesting thing about filming the scene where the alien bursts out of his chest is that they didn't tell any of the other actors what was fully going to happen.... so, their look of shock and horror was actually real.

Tim D.

Also played himself at the end of Spaceballs, at the diner with the alien popping out of his stomach...again!

Marc Lamoureux

"I can't believe she saved her cat in that situation" personally I'd go back for my cat before I would a whole lot of humans lol just saying. Also yes cats do go to space in fact many of them gave their lives in our early space explorations before they sent humans up. The thing that is so impressive to me about this film is when it was made and the fact that it's still looks better than many science fiction films made today. I'm really glad you're watching it and I hope you will watch the second one and the predator films as well. Love the new hairstyle by the way!

Nerdgirl2025

Agreed! Good storytelling always stands up over time.

David Croft-Ogawa

I agree. The older movies are great because back then, filmmakers relied on the strength of the narrative rather than on special effects.

David Croft-Ogawa

Yes!! It was amazing!

David Croft-Ogawa

The white stuff inside Ash is very close to what we use now called "heatsink" you put in on processors to keep computers from overheating. I'm not too versed in tech from the 70's but back then super computers filled entire rooms which is why mother has her own processor room.(now you fit more processing power in your phone) I work in the tech field so sci-fi tech has always facinated me. The green screen computer they use was the first personal pc for home office use ever made. I had one when I was around 6 that I got at the flea market.

Melody Netherton

Followed up by one of the best sequels ever. Aliens.

Richard C

The trailer for this movie was one of the most brilliant trailers ever!! Absolutely no sound, just visuals of people running around the spacecraft in terror. The tagline read: In space, nobody can hear you scream.

Richard C

I saw this movie at 5 years old via mom.

Fettmatic

Amber you need to react to Wanda vision ❤️

CloudyJ

Personally, I could have done without the scene where the alien explodes from the guy's chest. Or at least, maybe have that not shown in quite such detail. But overall, it's still an AMAZING movie. Pure nightmare fuel. And a touch of HAL-9000 for poor Ash, who can only deal with the directives he's been given.

Matt Teague

I'm so beyond excited for you to see this! Riply is one of my all time favorite characters! Growing up I had the books, the comics and even a Jonesy plush. I met some of the effects artists at wonderfest and got to see the props up close. Really amazing attention to detail. If you get a chance google the man who wore the alien suit. He was an extreamly tall and skinny black man named Bolaji Badejo. Riply was a big deal because smart female leads at the time were very rare to see so I really looked up to her as a young girl. If you watch the second one please check out the directors cut. It's the best version. Predator is great too.

Melody Netherton

Good choice!

Jenny A

If you believe in E.T.'s, you should look up the name Travis Walton. The movie "Fire In The Sky" is based on his experience.

Dale Sands

She reviewed the first film awhile back. Hoping the rest get a look in

Tristan O'Leary

Amber, with this extraordinary film you are taking another deep dive into another outstanding film Universe with the Alien franchise! This film is so well done and despite that its conception began sometime in the early to mid 70s with a US release date of May 25th 1979, it still holds up very very well even today!! Ridley Scott made a very smart and conscientious effort not to rely on special effects in favor of a great story and practical effects that make it a science fiction Masterpiece. It is a true study of resilience in what seems like a no win situation. Sigourney Weaver's performance is a true stand out performance because up until this film there had been very few films especially in the horror/science fiction genre that had strong female leads that took charge of the situation and come out on top. I am really looking forward to your reaction to one of the Greatest sequels of All Time "Aliens"!!!!!!

MAV293 (MARK)

I second both those movies

David Palmer

You haven't seen a ridley scott movie since you watched black hawk down I highly recommend you watch Gladiator, arguably his best work ever

Karl Kraus

For your party trivia movie knowledge...filmmaker Ridley Scott and screenwriter for this sci fi masterpiece classic admitted to lifting HEAVILY...concepts...ideas and even shots from the original 1958 B&W classic "It The Terror From Beyond Space."🤓✌🏾

K Dub

The first guy that got killed by the alien was Harry Dean Stanton. He was the old guy that brought banner/the Hulk some clothes after fell from the Hella carrier in the avengers.

Thomas Horton

Hope you check out A nightmare on elm street series

Reggie Riobe

Amber, You'd absolutely love Purple Rain and you actually said it would be the first movie you'd react to way back when you guys first started a movie channel. What about now since you're calling the shots:)

Cheri Winn

Do you take movie requests Amber, or perhaps start a tier for members to give you movies to watch

Tony Bell

That's Sir John Hurt as Kane. Might recognize him as Ollivander in Harry Potter, and also The Elephant Man. And don't forget Sir Ian Holm, playing Ash. Might remember him playing a guy named Bilbo Baggins in a couple other lesser-known film franchises.

Pravda

That hair though! 👌

Jeremy Vickers

Alien now you’re talking. I was like longest yard….. lol sorry just not my kind of movie. But alien, let’s go. And I am absolutely starving for no way home. I’m chomping at the bit.

Jeremy Vickers

Do you recognize the man who sold Harry Potter his wand

Thomas Horton

I remember watching this movie in the theater when I was 17 years old, I must say getting to sleep afterwards wasn’t easy

Thomas Horton

Great movie

Jim
