I'm like you Amber, I shipped Jon and Dany hard. Even after we learned they were related, I was hoping something could be figured out. I loved the scene when Jon first got on Rhaegal and they ride the dragons together. The first time I watched this show, I didn't know how it would end, but I pictured after everything, Jon and Dany spending Sunday afternoons going for a ride on their dragons. I loved that the dragon Jon rode was named after his biological father and when Rhaegal was killed in this episode I was devastated and then add what happened to Missandei. I was numb...

They might have simply been farewells, they may have been more. I wonder how Dany would have it made it through the rest of the season if Jorah was still among her advisors. Or if he was kidnapped instead of Missandei? Would it have changed how things went down? Missandei's final word was "Dracarys" - that's a very deliberate message to send to your Queen.

2025-04-12 14:02:03 +0000 UTCI am a long, long way away from the most critical and negative views out there on Season 8. My biggest regret and disappointment of the season is the choice not to film the scene where Sansa and Arya learn Jon's heritage. John's heritage was a huge reveal, the biggest one of the entire series. And instead of seeing the Stark family react to this news, we get Bron, Jamie, and Tyrion chit chatting about payment. It's just an extremely disappointing choice in my opinion. The best part of the episode was seeing SanSan together again, if only for a brief moment. Last edit: I'm nearing the end of the episode, and my heart is breaking for you Amber.

2025-04-12 00:01:53 +0000 UTCIt truly is a testament to the incredible acting skills that Lena Hedley, Jack Gleeson, Aiden Gillen, Iran Rheon, and other characters that have ripped out our hearts and built up so much hatred for them in this series! Also a shout out to the stellar casting department who did a great job in picking the perfect actors for their roles! Amber, most people felt what you feel and it has been an incredible journey that is coming to a close. Notice I did not say end because the prequel "House Of The Dragon" has been just as amazing and there are still other projects coming in the future from Westeros!

2025-04-12 00:00:45 +0000 UTCLove your dragon! Two days ago I found my stepdad's paperwork from his time in WWII. He was in A company of the 81st Chemical Mortar Battalion that landed on D-Day on Normandy Beach. I didn't know it until I looked it up but they were called the Black Dragons!
