2025-04-12 00:36:33 +0000 UTCThe beginning of the movie when it says "Based On True Events" is not a joke or a lie, every small market city in American in the late 60s-early 70s had a Ron Burgundy and team of newscasters just like this, of course this is pushing it to the extreme but there is tons of videos on YouTube that prove my point! Newcasters that would read anything off a teleprompter, male chauvinist attitudes that were obvious, watching woman trying to advance, idiotic filler stories................the sad part is that was way better than what we currently have!
