So the actor who plays Scud is Norman Reedus. He's in one of my all time favorite cult classics The Boondock Saints. He also plays Daryl in The Walking Dead if you ever get up the nerve to watch a zombie series.

Also in vampire folklore, Blade is what is known as a Dhampir". One of my favorite Dhampir in the the vampire genre is Vampire Hunter D created by Hideyuki Kikuchi. There are 56 novels in the series making it the best selling book series of any kind in the World. There are two excellent anime films with D, the 1985 "Vampire Hunter D" and the 2000 film "Vampire Hunter D : Bloodlust".
