2025-05-11 19:18:39 +0000 UTCThe sixties were the coming out party from Elvis and coroner, starting with Frankie Valle and the Four Seaons, barbershop style, then the Beach Boys with the harmonies, the British Invasion, the Doors and Steppenwolf with live out-of-control concerts, the SF hippie bands (like CCR, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, and The Byrds), the start of heavy metal like Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, the underground music like Frank Zappa and Velvet Underground and even more who followed those trails. Even after living through that time and have seen many concerts, (even some alternative and grunge, yes I went to a Nirvana concert), the one band on my bucket list, for the experience, is Babymetal.

2025-05-11 00:19:18 +0000 UTCIn my college days('63-'68) I enjoyed the early Doors (Gloria, Lite My Fire), but I consider later songs "Acid Rock", which was not my bag. I was saddened but not surprised the movie shows Jim into the "hard drugs". Good react'n show'g Jim as a poet.
