This really isn't a very good movie, but It's the Beatles, and the music certainly makes it worth at least one look. One day you should react to "ABBA - the Movie," which is no better as a film than "Help," but is likewise saved by some incredible songs.

2025-06-04 07:56:02 +0000 UTCAMBER, I wish you had kept it on throught the credits, because they are pictured in the facets of the ring, and are doing silly singing through it, and when it lists "I NEED YOU" by GEORGE HARRISON" in the credits, you hear George say quickly "I NEED YOU BY GEORGE HARRISON" and then at the very end, I think it is John that coughs and chokes. ALSO, I could NOT HEAR a WORD you said during the movie, when you were making comments. You couldn't be heard over the movie. Did you notice that ALL the background music was ALL BEATLE SONGS played by an orchestra? WHEN they were in the jewelers, did you notice GEORGE in the background on the left of the screen, STEALING ITEMS from a shelf SHOVING them under his suit coat!? LOL!! ***AMBER*** I KNOW you already watched "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" not long ago. You DIDN"T seem to RECOGNIZE actor VICTOR SPINETTI who played the "mad scientist , Professor Foote" in "HELP!" who ALSO played the PRODUCER weaing the fuzzy sweater in "A HARD DAY'S NIGHT" ! I was expecting you to point it out. Victor was a great friend of the Beatles and could imitate their speaking voice perfectly. I was able to meet him years ago at a Beatle convention in Chicago where he was one of the main speakers. He had great stories to tell of his time working with them and in their friendship. He is also with them in "MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR" NICE MAN, had my pic taken with him, too. Sadly he passed awhile ago. Another fun fact, the man that was trying to steal a car when they were getting Ringo from the police station in "A Hard Days Night" is the same man that is playing the "Thug" in the Kaili cult that says at the beginning "has anyone looked in the wash basin" and when they are in the ALPS, he mentions about his "blood group being unusal" and at the end he's running on the beach yelling "I'm GOING TO MISS THE SACRIFICE" and ends up with the RING on his finger and can't remove it..

2025-06-03 00:20:54 +0000 UTCAmber, if you really want to take a deep dive down The Beatles rabbit hole I recommend a couple of movies and compiled a list of documentaries for You and those in the community that may not have seen them yet!! 1) "Nowhere Boy" it is a 2009 British biographical film based on the biography by John Lennon's half sister Julia Baird. It mainly focuses on John's teenage years and the relationships between John, his Aunt Mimi, who actually raised him and her sister John's Mother, Julia Lennon. It also shows John starting his band "The Quarrymen" and meeting Paul for the first time and Paul introducing George to John. It is a beautiful but tragic look into the psyche of John Lennon and the series of fortunate and unfortunate events that made him who he was. John is played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson in one of his first starring roles. 2) "Yesterday" is a 2019 fantasy/comedy about a struggling musician that has an accident caused by a Worldwide power blackout. When he wakes up from the accident he soon finds out that he now lives in a World were The Beatles never existed but he can remember almost all of their songs!!!!!! Directed by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire, 28 Days Later, and 127 Hours) starring Himesh Patel who plays and sings in the film, the adorable Lily James as his Manager, and hilarious roles by Ed Sheeran as Himself and Kate McKinnon as the stereotypical music executive. It has a beautiful "what if" scene towards the end that made me cry. Also the footage of the exterior of the house that Lily James lives in is actually a house that my family lived in while we lived in England in a small seaside town called Gorleston-on-Sea!! The beach concert on the roof of the Pier Hotel was a block away from the house! The following are a list of documentaries that really get into The Beatles from the very beginning and almost everything till their split up. 1) "Let It Be" the 1970 documentary that shows the group rehearsing and recording songs for their twelfth and final studio album. There is also plans for a final public concert but when those plans are scrapped it leads to the amazing rooftop performance at the former Apple Headquarters at #3 Savile Row in London!

2025-06-01 10:33:18 +0000 UTCOn Disney+ there is a 4 part documentary, The Beatles: Get Back. They had it all documented at the time of them writing, rehearsing and recording their last album. It all leads up to their last concert together, which was- on the roof of the studio. It's an awesome glimpse into how they worked together and their individual personalities. Your Disney + account has to be set on the Adult setting otherwise it won't show up when you search for it. I recommend That Thing You Do, also.
