The closeup of the hands playing the guitar in Chris' audition are really Chris Perez's. The actor that portrayed him convinced him to come to the set to see the scene and ended up convincing him to play something, and he agreed to film the closeup of him playing. It's super sweet he's in the film. The actor who portrayed him spent hours with him in preparation, and went to his bathroom at one point, and saw Selena's notes on his mirror, which not only brought the actor to tears, he said "my purpose in the film is to be a part of sharing their love story, but also the fact that I'm here portraying Chris because Selena is not here."

Everything about it is relatable as a Latino growing up in Texas, down to her father and my father (who passed in 2003) wearing the same clothes, same hair style, same stubbornness and belief, and the nuances of growing up as a Mexican-American in Texas. Thank you for posting this film in particular, and I highly recommend "My Family, Mi Familia" from 1995, directed by the same director as Selena, and stars many of the actors from this film.

The beauty of Selena is that she is forever. Her family has done so much throughout the years to keep her memory alive. As always you never disappoint with your heartfelt genuine reactions. Another movie I recommend is What's Love Got To Do With It. Angela Bassett is on a whole other level portraying Tina Turner. Very powerful film and tough to watch.

Always mentioning the fans and how they made them. You don't get alot of that these days. The interviewer asked her about influences. One of them was AC/DC and he said "don't see any AC/DC in your music" lol.
