The video was awful, true. But think back to the scene where Walt hugged Skyler after hearing about Ted’s accident. He said “I forgive you” in the quietest most menacing way you could imagine. She had no choice but to do what Walt told her. Everything he did was a threat to her to remind her what he was capable of.

Again, ugly but I don't think they ever wanted to actually show the video to anyone but Hank and Marie.
