He wrote, produced, arranged, played the instruments, all of it. This part I'm going to paste for ease: George Michael has a strong history with the Ivor Novello Awards, having won six awards and received thirteen nominations. He is the only songwriter to have won the prestigious "Songwriter of the Year" award three times, in 1985, 1989, and 1997. His song "Last Christmas" is currently nominated for the "Most Performed Work" award. He was such a gifted lyricist. That's what he wanted to be known as. He was a contemporary of MJ, Prince and Madonna. The four of them owned the 80's. Also, yes, he was pure beauty, inside and out. The movie Last Christmas is based on the song while also honoring the causes he gave so much of his time to. I really want you to watch it. It has Emilia Clarke from GOT, Daenerys. She's got a beautiful voice and sings in this one. Here's the list: I'm sure there are songs here you've already reacted to that I missed. This is one that I think you will love Amber. Do The officiating video, flapper era style. Freeek! Somebody To Love (from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert. He KILLED it. ) Outside (Personally love this one just for the sheer balls shown by making a song about his own arrest) White Light (Which to be honest, since his death, breaks my heart every single time, as does Last Christmas) Waiting For That Day As, featuring Mary J Blige (Stevie Wonder Cover) Older Heal The Pain I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) his duet with Aretha Franklin. (He was a powerful duet partner. He knew how to let the others shine, from Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, the list is impressive.) ...ummm, basically his entire catalogue.
