I have to disagree with you when you said at the beginning of the episode "don't blame Allicent". On the contrary, blame her. She first did her fathers bidding in getting close to the king so he would think of marrying her. Every other young girl in the HOD and GOT does not want to marry an old man. lol. And then she's so jealeous, she plots at every turn against the princess. Been on team black the whole time.

2025-07-08 06:24:09 +0000 UTCThat was a great episode...again. A tough one, for sure, for Rhaenyra, between her still-born child at the beginning and losing her youngest boy at the end!! I think's she's about to have a B.F. all over Team Green!! "No friends amongst the Lannisters"-- well color me not shocked!! And, to me, Team Green is starting to sound a lot like the Lannister way!!! I, too, thought Lord Corlis was dead, Amber. If you feel dumb for thinking that, you're certainly not alone!! As for all of Lord Hightower's "assurances" BULLLLLLSH**!!! And Daemon, FOR SURE, does not play...and Rhaenyra is DEFINITELY done playing nice--or is she?? Guess we'll find out. And her saying she didn't want to "...rule over a kingdom of ash and bone...", seems Dany was strangely comfortable with that--to her demise! Prince Vicerys (the younger son??) is CRAVEN cause he wouldn't cut his own eye out??? Hmmm...much different definition, that!! Looking forward to S2!! oops....on to The Office it looks like!!!

2025-07-02 15:58:23 +0000 UTCSorry if its a lot to read but: 1. They don’t discuss it in the show and they’re subtle enough about it that it isn’t as noticeable to a non-book reader to see. But Rhaeynra and Daemon’s baby was a girl and sadly even being born too soon she was born deformed. It’s always been speculated that women in their family sometimes gave birth to deformed Targaryen babies with dragon-like features like scales or a tail etc every once in awhile. If you recall when Dany gave birth, the witch (or Jorah, I can’t remember) told her how her baby was deformed and had features of a monster. 2. Aegon was crowned with Aegon The Conqueror’s crown, where Ser Arryk (the twin who sides with Team Black.. his brother name is Erryk so that may get confusing later lol) stole and brought her King Viserys’s crown which means so much more to Rhaeynra. 3. Daemon choking Rhaeynra was a bit odd and a little hard to read, because in the book he’s not as ambitious for the throne as they make him on the show lol 4. So not only do you see the dragon Vermithor, who at this time is known to be the second biggest dragon after Vhaegar (Aemond’s dragon) but he’s also very experienced in battle. 5. There’s so much that is still unknown and even speculative when it comes to the dragon lore in this universe and I wish you could learn more, sadly learning more comes with a lot of spoilers so you probably won’t want to dig into that anytime soon. But what Daemon is doing is singing a dragon song which is assumed to be a way of communicating or even taming riderless dragons. 6. Yes you are completely correct and it should be known that no matter what people think, it is completely Aemond’s fault. I know people will argue about how they should’ve done better to control their dragons, but dragons cannot be completely controlled and they feed off their riders energy. So if a dragon feels threatened or like you’ve threatened their rider by ANOTHER dragon, they will attack even if they’re only slightly provoked. So Aemond should’ve known better even if it wasn’t his intention to kill Luke. 7. Last but not least, no matter whose side you sway towards in the end Aegon and The Greens had NO RIGHT to do any of this. It was complete treason. ALL the Lords of Westeros have bent the knee and swore to her and her father, WHO NAMED HER HIS HEIR. Rhaeynra is the RIGHTFUL heir to the throne point blank period and I will die loyal to Team Black (because yes there are still people who side with Team Green even now.) But thank you for reacting to this, I’ve been so excited watching you transition from GOT to HOTD because as fascinating as all the other noble houses are in this world, the Targaryen’s are my absolute favorite and not just because of their dragons either. GRRM took a lot of inspiration from the history of European (mainly British) monarchies and I am such a big fan of history. So to me its just incredible how he’s taken history and loosely retold it through the history of the GOT/HOTD universe. But they’re just such intriguing characters even individually.

2025-07-02 06:37:27 +0000 UTCBoth Alicent & Rhaenyra have made mistakes yet both are doing what they feel is their duty to the realm. There will be atrocities on each side that will make it difficult to only condemn the Greens. Let the "Dance of the Dragons" begin!

2025-07-02 06:32:31 +0000 UTCBoth dragons acted on their own. Still Aemond's fault for going after Luke anyway.

2025-07-02 03:00:32 +0000 UTC28:30 Otto gave Rhaenyra a page from the history book that Alicent and Rhaenyra read together as teenagers in episode 1. The page was about Princess Nymeria leading the Rhoynar's 10,000 ships to Dorne, which young Rhaenyra ripped out of the book as an act of rebellion. 56:20 Yes, Vhagar was pissed at Arrax and acted on his own, disobeying Aemond -- which says something about Aemond's limitations as a dragonrider.

2025-07-01 23:11:15 +0000 UTCYou are correct. Aemond kept telling his dragon no. Aemond was just trying to mess with him. He didn’t mean to actually kill him.

2025-07-01 23:01:12 +0000 UTCPlease less Office and other stuff. More House of the Dragon! I love the other stuff too, but this is the main event! We need more!

2025-07-01 22:12:21 +0000 UTCSo now that the Dance of Dragons has begun, here's the real question for you, Amber: Are you TEAM BLACK or TEAM GREEN??

2025-07-01 20:43:57 +0000 UTCI’ve really considered documentaries. Specifically true crime and music

2025-07-01 20:30:08 +0000 UTCI wonder if it’s tough to watch multiple series & all the movies in a relatively short period of time? Would something like a true crime documentary being mixed in or a full listen of a classic album to be a palate cleanser?
