People keep recommending the documentary Get Back, but I feel like that's a tough one to react to. It's very long, and often hard to parse. Don't get me wrong - it's fascinating to see the band creating songs together, but it's the four of them (plus other people) in a room, and then a different room, and then a rooftop. So I'd recommend the documentary Eight Days A Week first. And my favorite Beatles biopic is actually just a John & Paul biopic called Two of Us. Not sure if it's streaming anywhere but I have the file if you need it. It's based on the true story of them hanging out together in NYC in the 70s, after the band has broken up. I love the emotions in that film, and the actors who play John and Paul do a fabulous job. It's funny, sweet, and heartfelt. I like that it's not trying to tell the whole story of the Beatles, just a snapshot of a very unique friendship. I loved your reaction to Michelle!

On Disney+ there is a three-part documentary. Your account needs to be set on adult to find it in a search. It was put together from 60 hours of unseen film of the bands intimate recording sessions. It shows their friendships and creative genius while writing and rehearsing 14 new songs together and their last performance as a group, on the rooftop of the recording studio, as the finale.

Rubber Soul is my favorite Beatles album. Another track that you would LOVE from it is "Norwegian Wood." I think you'd enjoy the hippy trippy vibe a lot. But my all time favorite Paul song will always be "Get Back." Oh - also there were a LOT of girls born around this time named MIchelle!

Paul McCartney will always be my favorite Beatle. Not taking away the major talent in all of them I just love him and his voice . If you can check him out on his tour I highly recommend. I got to see him twice and it was awesome both times. Have you listened to George Harrison singing lead on My Guitar Gently Weeps? Love that one.

If you want someone else on vocals, check out one of only two songs Ringo ever wrote with the Beatles: Octopus’s Garden. It’s a really fresh, airy tune with great harmonies and really fun to listen to. I just saw him perform it live last month here in Florida. Dude’s still got it at 85!

Late 50s pop music out of France was called "le Jazz" and featured jangly guitar and brushed snare, with a walking bass line played on an upright instead of George's resonant guitar. A reed accordion would usually carry the melody. Paul's French is in schoolboy grammar, suggesting a holiday crush during a class trip across the channel to Paris.

Yes, please give John Lennon some love. At 6 years old, he was my first crush and I've never gotten over it. "This Boy" includes all of the Beatles harmonizing, but at the bridge John comes in with a solo and crushes it. Same with the song "Anytime At All." One's a slow song the other is faster, but you'll love them both.

Fun fact: Paul McCartney played this at the White House during the Obama administration and said “here is a song I’ve been itching to play at the White House and I hope that the President will forgive me”. Then he started with the opening chords to Michelle and sang it to the First Lady.
