Since you mention story telling, Roger Waters once said he would have given his right arm to have written "Powderfinger" or "Helpless" by Neil Young because of the vivid lyricism and storytelling. "Cortez The Killer" is another Neil Young story that takes you for a ride. If/when you react to Helpless react to the Last Waltz version where Neil is singing with The Band or hold off on it if you plan on reacting to the Last Waltz in its entirety (you definitely should).
