OZZY OSBOURNE- See You On The Other Side

Comments

It's a very strange feeling when someone leaves who has been there your whole life in the background, but you've never met him. Once that person does take his final bow on this stage, you don't want to stop the applause because you feel how significant his presence was to you all these years. That's how I've felt about Ozzy this past week. RIP John Michael Osbourne One of a kind.

Thank you, Amber, for your words of comfort!

Phillip Borntrager

After he heard She Loves You. The things that always make me smile about that man.

Also in his last video (was a tiktok I saw), he talked about how it was the Beatles who had turned him on to music in a huge way (his words.)

Marc Lamoureux

A few of those hit me like a brick.

Under The Graveyard is another killer song with such a strong video backing it. It glosses over a lot but it distilled their love to a pure emotion that was beautiful to watch. Especially Sharon. I've been here with my husband, they did an amazing job of depicting addiction. Though, stopping is nowhere near as quick as they show. It's meant to show you a snapshot of a time in their lives. How hard she fought for him.

I count myself as one of the lucky ones who have actually seen Ozzy in concert. Granted it was almost 50 years ago, but it meant worlds to me then and still does now. Good Journey Ozzy, YOU WILL BE MISSED! Thank you, Miss Amber, for such a beautiful tribute! Been a rough couple of weeks, eh? Ozzy, Hulk Hogan, Connie Francis, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, George Kooymans, Anne Burrell, Chuck Mangione....R.I.P.

Raymond Ohlsen

Btw, you presented a lovely tribute. Thanks, Amber. ✌🏽

I’m glad he made his journey but I miss him so much already. Honesty, love and humor in people are what makes us remember gentle people like Ozzy. My heart is with Sharon, their children, grandchildren, family and friends. I can’t imagine how lonely Sharon must feel. Let’s make sure to show her love. Rest in power, Ozzy. Fly high again. πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ€˜πŸ½πŸ–€

The Architect of Heavy Metal, his music helped me to get through some rough times over the years. RIP Prince of Darkness!

You should check out Road To Nowhere. One of my favorite Ozzy songs

"Paranoid" was the 1st 45 I ever bought from the Heavy Metal genre. RIP to Ozzy Osbourne. Very beautiful and heartfelt reaction Amber.

Yesterday I saw a video on You Tube--of course, can't find it today!!--that Ozzy did just a few days before he passed in which he talked about how he knew the end was near. He had been--apparently, I had no idea--suffering from Parkinsons and had recently had surgery to remove a spinal tumor which he said he regretted as it just made things worse. The farewell show he did a few weeks ago (right?? wasn't that long ago, I don't think?) was something he wanted to do. The last song they did was 'Momma, I'm Coming Home' and it's said that he had tears in his eyes as he was singing it. Also in the clip was a bit from back stage after that concert where Kelly's boyfriend proposed to her right there in front of her parents. Nice that he got to see that, sad for her that he won't be there for her on her wedding day! While not necessarily an Ozzy guy (not to say I didn't or don't like any of his solo stuff, mind you), I do highly prefer the Ozzy-led Black Sabbath! If you want another one of those long, long songs--like the In A Gadda Davida reaction), you should check out the song 'Warning' off of Sabbath's 1st album. It clocks in at a tick over 10mins. You get a couple of minutes of great Ozzy vocals, then 6 or so minutes of this meandering Tony Iommi solo which winds through rock, jazz and blues, then back to Ozzy for the last minute or so to close it out. Great song. Also...The Wizard from the same album...inspired by Gandalf from LOTR. So many great 'Ozzy Sabbath' songs...along with his solo stuff. RIP

The album this is from (Ozzmosis) came out while I was in high school and was in heavy rotation for me. He definitely deserves more credit for the amount of emotion he could bring to his music that stood in contrast to the way he was perceived by people who judged him solely on his public persona. You might enjoy from this album β€œMy Little Man” (about his son) β€œI Just Want You” and β€œPerry Mason” RIP to a legend.

Just look at all the other singers and musicians that paid him homage as a music icon and human being. Even Pat Boone who was his neighbor for two years

I am absolutely gutted by the loss of the Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne and the Immortal Hulk Hogan all within days of each other. I just cant right now. I had to take a mental health day from work.

Chris

Great song choice! Such a unique man & voice. Everything about him was one of a kind. Been watching The Osbourne's last few days!

30 minutes after getting the notification that Ozzy had passed, I got in my car and as soon as I turned the key this song started. I've heard this song 1000 times but never have I paid so much attention to the lyrics. Such a legend. RIP Ozzy, the one and only Prince of Darkness. πŸ™β€οΈ
