2025-11-21 03:45:58 +0000 UTCIf you think Django Unchained is a tough depiction of slavery then 12 Years A Slave will really upset you. It doesn't have the comedy QT has. It's just an unflinching look at slavery in all of its ugliness. Amazing film though. It won Best Picture.

2025-08-02 13:39:46 +0000 UTCYou've seen Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and now Django is your third Tarantino film. He didn't direct Usual Suspects although it's definitely written like a QT film. QT's dialogue and style was so good it influenced a whole generation of filmmakers who tried to copy him.

2025-08-02 12:20:52 +0000 UTCGreat choice! My fav Tarantino movie! Django is fictional but was inspired by a real life black marshall in the wild west. named Bass Reeves. He's worth reading about. He arrested over 3000 outlaws and killed 14 men. He was born into slavery in 1838 and after being freed eventually went to live out his days with Native americans. Also no what Candy said about the skull were not true but things like that were told to black people at the time to keep them down. Also why they made it illegal for slaves to read or write. They even used the bible to preach to them white suppremcy since they could't read it for themselves. Sad times.

2025-08-01 20:36:40 +0000 UTCWhen Django spelled his name and the guy said I know, his name is Franco Nero and played Django as a cowboy in the original 1966 film. There are a couple of films in the Django series and may be worth checking out. I have seen the 1966 movie it's pretty good.
