The Beatles- Here Comes The Sun

Comments

May I say it has been amazing watching you brighten up and take charge and grow over time as well for us! I won't get too sappy but I subbed to you the day you started your new youtube and I can relate to a lot of what you've gone through so watching you grow really helps other people by giving them hope.

I am so very, very glad that you feel like you're in such a better place in your life. It shows in your glow. Amazing to watch your progression from pregnant newbie in front of the multi-colored bricks to now, You go!

So glad you're not in a bad place anymore. That would break my heart. I couldn't imagine you not being as wonderful and happy as you are. You're the best.

There's an all time great performance of George playing this on Saturday Night Live with Paul Simon that is definitely worth checking out! https://youtu.be/KEgBMTMUanU?si=oVhFky_jO_fPagcG

One of my favorite songs of George’s. It’s so beautiful and spiritual. If you can’t smile listening to this, I don’t know what will.

Such a great song. Amber, thank you for your personal insights. May the sunshine always light up your life!

This is the album where George hit peak songwriting. At this point he was writing stuff that was just as good as Lennon/McCartney. Such a beautiful tune. George was sick of the Beatles’ pressure at this point and just got away and wrote this song about hope and rebirth while at Eric Clapton’s garden. George used a capo to shorten the strings on the lead guitar to get that breezy, crisp, airy trademark sound. It totally makes the song.

Amber, I recommend next you react to their medley from this same Abbey Road album. Colloquially referred to as “the long one”. It’s a collection of short, incomplete songs John and Paul had at the time and they didn’t know what to do with them. They came up with this medley, which is meant to be listened to all at once. It’s fascinating.

You still haven't listened to Lucy in the sky with diamonds
