The Beatles- Let It Be

Comments

Amber, thank you for these reactions to one of the greatest bands to ever make music. I also want to say that you have one of the genuinely beautiful smiles I've ever seen

Kurt

Amber, after watching your reactions these past few years, I’ve seen your personal growth and your interpretations of the music grow as well. You are no longer a “baby” Beatle‼️ You are a full Beatle fan ‼️ You definitely would have fit right in during the 60’s and 70’s.❤️☮️💙

From all Amber said about how ‘Let it Be’ makes her feel, she’d really appreciate the lyrics to the song ‘The Grudge’ by Tool. It’s a like a personal growth banger!!

Thank you for reacting to my favorite Beatles song.I have been requesting it on every Beatles song you have reacted to for a long time now.I can finally check it off of the list and move on to the many more suggestions I would love to see you react to.Two songs that I would like to see you react to are songs that you have already done, but I would love to see you react to the live versions of.The are "Comfortably Numb" and "Freebird".

Paul’s spiritual song. Very gospel. It’s essentially a hymn. Gorgeous.

Please watch The Bee Gees Documentary “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart” 🙏🏼

Paul figured at the time that lots of people would interpret it biblically and he said good for them. But it was one of those “it is what it is” things. To him it was about his mother and that’s what the song was about.

There is nothing wrong with thinking of Mother Mary when listening to this song, but Paul wrote this after having a dream where he spoke to his late mother Mary McCartney.

I think this is probably my favorite Beatles song. The piano, the melody, the vocals, the guitar, the lyrics... everything is brilliant.

I don’t know if it would get taken down, but the Get Back documentary on Disney is incredible and worth watching either way.

Mother Mary refers to Paul’s mother, Mary, who sadly passed away from cancer when Paul was only 15. It saddens me to think that neither her nor Julia Lennon ever saw their boys change the world with their music. Paul was going through a tough, stressful time with the Beatles’ business side and the band falling apart. She came to him in a dream. And in the dream she told him, “it’s going to be ok, don’t worry. Just let it be”. And he immediately woke up feeling comforted and relieved. So he went to the piano and wrote this masterpiece.

Oh missed opportunity. There is an official video for this song. It’s on the Beatles official YouTube channel. Give it a watch. They’re playing it live in the studio and they have Billy Preston with them.
