Yeah I can barely hear the movie.

2025-08-26 03:45:45 +0000 UTCAmber have you watched the streaming series "Outlander"? The wife of Christian Bale in this movie(Caitriona Balfe) is one of the stars and I think you would really like it. It's a Starz show but the first 6 seasons are on Netflix.

2025-08-24 00:17:46 +0000 UTCYou should adjust your mic level, when you speak its really loud compared to the movie

2025-08-23 02:18:13 +0000 UTCAnother great racing fact based movie is Rush. It centres on the rivarly between James Hunt & Nikki Lauda and in particular their battle for the 1976 F1 Championship. You'd probably enjoy it as much as you did this.

2025-08-20 14:07:47 +0000 UTCBack to class & after school commitments can be an adjustment for the first few weeks when you have one child, much less THREE 😬❤️. I’d let her settle into the routine a bit and I’m sure she won’t leave you folks who love the comic book movies hanging. Good things come to those who wait. 😉 ✌️

2025-08-20 13:54:29 +0000 UTCWatch “The Fighter” with Mark Walhberg and Christian Bale. Another great performance by him that won him the Oscar that year.

2025-08-20 10:49:08 +0000 UTCI got to see this movie at a film festival with the director in attendance where he took Q&A. Learned that the speech Ken Miles gives to his son while sitting on the track at night was taken verbatim from a radio interview Ken Mikes did.

2025-08-20 10:10:09 +0000 UTCYes, Le Mans is a road race. The circuit is just under 8.5 miles. They will cover well over 3000 miles. Each team will have multiple cars in the race. Ford had 8 cars in the 1966 Le Mans. Ferrari had 3, plus other privately owned Ferrari's. Ford won Le Mans placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Ferrari. failed to complete Le Mans in 1966. Ford went on to win Le Mans 4 times consecutively; 1966. 1967, 1968. and 1969.

2025-08-20 05:49:03 +0000 UTCYou might check out the Netflix series “Formula 1: Drive to Survive”. It’ll push you over the edge into watching auto racing!! IMO Formula 1 is the best for new fans. If your boy ends up interested in motorcycles MotoGP is just as exciting.

2025-08-20 03:14:37 +0000 UTCThis was a great movie...but sad ending. Thought I hadn't seen it yet, then soon realized I had. I think of all the movies I've seen with Christian Bale, most of them he used an American accent, rather than his more natural English accent, like in this movie--though he WAS playing and Englishman, so not much of a stretch. Matt Damon...he really kinda sounded like Tommy Lee Jones a lot of the time...or maybe a mix between Tommy Lee Jones and Lt. Aldo Raine! FORD: Fix Or Repair Daily LOL That being said, I, too, did at one point own a 2001 F150. I think Mrs. Miles looked like Erin from The Office--the brunette English version! My buddy's brother-in-law is a huge gear head--and Carroll Shelby fan. Back when his daughter was born, I asked what they named her and he said "Shelby!" I had a good laugh and said "Of course you named her Shelby!" Incidentally, every time I see Matt Damon now, I can't not hear your voice mimicking the World Police "Matt Damon"--always makes me laugh!

2025-08-20 02:42:52 +0000 UTCThey're building up to the 1966 Le Man 24 Hour race, which took place June 18-19 that year. Many of the events of the movie took place before 1966; for example the Mustang at the show where Ken's son was asked to keep his hands off the paint is a 1965 model; the 1966 Mustang's grille didn't have those short vertical bars outside the pony logo. (BTW, that paint color would have been Nightmist Blue.) Ford actually released two separate '65 model Mustangs in 1964, one in April (commonly referred to as either the early model '65 or the the 64-and-a-half model) and one in September (the late model '65.) The car shown is probably the September model since it did have the inline 6-cylinder Ken advises replacing.

2025-08-20 02:17:44 +0000 UTCTerrific reaction! Like you Amber, I wasn't sure I was going to like this movie. But I was compelled to watch it because, for many years, I had this thing where I would watch all Oscar-nominated movies. Then I would try to pick the winner. Turns out I'm not good at doing that. I was right one time, in 2019, when I chose 'Green Book' for the win. And although I enjoyed 'Ford v Ferrari' very much, my pic that year (2020) was 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.' (That one is a better watch if you're familiar with Charles Manson and his cult.) Anyway, 'Parasite' ended up winning that year. It is a great movie. It's a foreign language film, so there are subtitles. That might be tricky, giving your reaction while at the same time reading what's on the screen. But it's definitely worth the watch.

2025-08-20 02:08:55 +0000 UTCIf you enjoyed Bale in this I highly recommend American Psycho and The Machinist!

2025-08-20 02:03:26 +0000 UTCAmber, have you seen “American Hustle” already? Also starring Christian Bale. I can’t remember. Also, for another James Mangold film, watch “Girl Interrupted” with Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie, Whoopi Goldberg and Brittany Murphy…one of my go to rewatch movies.

2025-08-20 01:29:58 +0000 UTCI watched today. Will be posted tomorrow. But who was the cameo? I missed it!

2025-08-20 00:43:44 +0000 UTCUnrelated to this film but the new Superman (2025) is now out on streaming and definitely worth a reaction. It’s directed by James Gunn who also did the Guardians of the Galaxy films for Marvel. The only other DCEU film that you would need to watch before it is The Suicide Squad (2021) because one of those characters makes a cameo

2025-08-20 00:15:18 +0000 UTCNow that Halloween ads are popping up and it's now on the mind, I have a suggestion for a monster movie to react to once october comes King Kong (2005) is that movie Not only is it from the man who directed the middle earth series, peter jackson, but it's more of a monster epic and you love epics AND you get all the spooky and suspense you'd want
